Tribute to Erick Misoka Mauti
It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt memories that I pay tribute to Erick Misoka Mauti, a dear friend with whom I shared many significant years of my life. Our journey together began at Nyansiongo High School, where we formed a bond that would last a lifetime. Those formative years were filled with shared experiences, laughter and the mutual support that helped us navigate our teenage years.
Our friendship grew even stronger when we both continued our education at the University of Nairobi. Together, we faced the challenges and celebrated the successes that university life brought us. Erick's dedication to his studies (he ended up with a First Class in Mechanical Engineering), his unwavering kindness and his infectious enthusiasm left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Erick was more than just a friend; he was a confidant, a source of inspiration, and a brother. His legacy of compassion, integrity, and commitment to excellence will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful moments we shared and the profound influence Erick had on our lives. His memory will live on in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to guide us.
Rest in peace, Erick Mauti. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
