Typically, our students fall within the age range of 18 to 22 years and come from the most underprivileged and vulnerable segments of Kenyan society.

Don Bosco Boys’ Town is a technical institute providing comprehensive education that encompasses technical skills, moral values, and holistic human development to empower young men and women to become productive and respected citizens of their country. To achieve our mission, we offer a two-year technical program that is tailored to accommodate the unique needs of these disadvantaged students.

Our trainers, Mr. Atieli and Eng. Kelvin, are currently participating in a specialized Pneumatics and Electro-Pneumatics Training at the newly established Innovation Hub.

The hands-on programme is enhancing their expertise in modern industrial automation systems, equipping them with practical knowledge and advanced technical skills that will be directly transferred to our trainees. Through continuous professional development, they are strengthening their capacity to deliver industry-relevant training and prepare learners for the rapidly evolving world of manufacturing and automation.

By investing in our trainers, we continue to invest in the future of our students and the quality of technical education we provide.

Good Afternoon, Dear Don Bosco Community,

Yesterday, through the Principal’s Office, our institution had the privilege of hosting Mr. Graeme REID, CEO of Tilisi Developments PLC

Tilisi Developments is one of Kenya’s leading master-planned mixed-use developments, creating modern residential, commercial, logistics, and industrial spaces supported by world-class infrastructure. The company’s vision is built around innovation, quality, sustainability, and the development of a highly skilled workforce.

During his visit, Mr. Graeme toured various departments and interacted with trainers and trainees, gaining firsthand experience of our practical and competency-based learning approach. He expressed his admiration for the interactive training sessions and was impressed by how closely our programmes align with the industry skills and standards that organizations like Tilisi value in today’s workforce.

The visit also highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships between technical institutions and industry leaders to prepare graduates with the hands-on skills needed to drive Kenya’s economic growth and infrastructure development.

We are delighted to share some of the moments captured during this inspiring visit.

This morning, our Year 1 trainees participated in an engaging Entrepreneurship class focused on the Ideation Process the foundation of every successful business and innovation.

During the session, trainees learned how to:

Identify problems and challenges within their communities
Analyze needs and opportunities in the market
Develop practical solutions to address those challenges
Transform ideas into innovative products, services, and business opportunities

The lesson encouraged learners to think like entrepreneurs by viewing community challenges not as obstacles, but as opportunities to create value and make a positive impact.

After all, every great business starts with one thing: identifying a problem worth solving.
