This is my former school, where dreams were bigger than our circumstances. Back then, many of us walked to school barefoot because our parents could not afford shoes. The classrooms, roofed with iron sheets installed in the 1950s, still stood strong. The floors were made of earth, and every morning we sprinkled them with water before sweeping to keep the dust down and the classrooms clean.
Life was not easy, but those humble beginnings taught us resilience, discipline, gratitude, and the value of education. Looking back, I'm reminded that where you start in life does not determine where you will end up.
It's a beautiful reminder that great journeys often begin in the humblest of places.
