The Village Teacher

Growing up in the village we heard of stories that a night runner's wife had to "kaanga njugu" everyday the husband(it's mostly men who are night runners)went out to do his night running business. That the groudnuts were not supposed to burn, and if they did, her partner will be caught. And this she had to do until the partner came back.

I dont know how true the information is but it just isn't logical. Today while roasting groundnuts I was thinking about that.Let's say the partner goes out at around 11 pm and returns at 3 am, groundnuts takes like 20mins to roast. Won't they burn the remaining time?

Also can't the partner fall asleep in the process ?
Why should someone sit in the middle of the night waiting for a partner who decides they dont want to sleep?
Would a man do the same to his wife in case she is the one who is a runner?

Mimi the way those things challenge me, my partner would be caught by the villagers everyday. Also I wouldn't sacrifices my sleep for such nonsense, ni heri nikose bwana.

When people say birds of a feather flock together, I step back and wonder, because every sane adult has a mind of their own, they can hang around whoevee and still be the person they want to be.
They will have their own morals and values and still stand firm on them.

I saw this add on trust I honestly I like how far we have become open on matters s*x. That we nolonger hide the fact that we use toys . We have embraced them fully and partners are now open minded and incorporating to spice things up.
That we know that we engage even during menstruation and the advert here I think is to encourage us to wrap up, because at that time a woman can easily get infected with several diseases.

😂😂😂 friendship or witchcraft?

I dread house chores in general. I only enjoy cooking if I have company other times I go for a one pan meal, and that is mostly some pan fried potatoes then eggs in the same pan. I saw a post of Milam Millz Errands saying that she had to lock away excess utensils just to avoid washing extra dishes. I can trully relate, mimi I mostly use a plate and a spoon and sometimes I force myself to scrub that pan. Let's not even talk about laundry, that's one hell of a task that I plan psychologically for over a week just to end up doing 2 weeks later.

I love the way people have started embracing village life most people only fany city life when they are young and energetic. When they can still handle the chaos that comes with life in urban centers. As they age they start developing the urge to move back to the villages and live a quiet life. If you walk around villages you come across very modern beautiful mansions and bungalows.

Villages are filled during holidays as people struggle to go have even a weeks rest and and have a breathe of fresh air. With age one starts to develop a sense of belonging to a community and village settings offer that.

Youths are also creating a lifestyle in the village and seem to enjoy the life alot. You meet people and they will tell you that the only thing keeping them in towns is because of schools for kids, jobs and money. They wish to move to rural settings.

Unlike before in the days when farms in the village were very cheap, the price in some modern villages have skyrocketed. Young men and women nolonger rush to cities after school in search of employment, they have learned to sow amd harvest from the villagess.
