Earlier today we welcomed seven members of the Defence Forces School of Education and Languages, who are interested in joining Islamic University in Kenya for the September intake.

During their visit they received information about the Arabic Language and Islamic Studies programmes, key career opportunities, and general information about IUK.

We look forward to welcoming them soon, as they start their academic journey with us.

Under the patronage and in the presence of the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic University of Kenya, together with the Director of Academic Affairs, the Islamic University of Kenya-Nairobi Learning Centre (South C) held an orientation meeting for its students as they usher in the new semester.

The session provided students with a warm welcome and valuable guidance, along with an introduction to the University and its academic programmes. Participants were also briefed on student regulations, support services, and co-curricular activities available to enrich their university experience.

Students actively engaged in the discussions, demonstrating enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead. Speakers emphasised the importance of discipline, hard work, and making full use of the educational and personal development opportunities offered by the University.

We pray for the continued success, growth, and prosperity of all our students.

Here is the next generation of visionary leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, tech gurus, and religious scholars.

We held orientation for our May 2026 cohort yesterday, starting a new journey of nurturing them into impactful members of society.

The Islamic University of Kenya was honoured to receive a courtesy call from Ambassador Mohamed Abdi Affey, former UNHCR Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, former Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kenya, and IGAD Envoy.

During the visit, Ambassador Affey donated copies of his book, Baadigoobka Nabada Geeska – The Quest for Peace in the Horn, and, through the Amb. Affey Foundation, awarded scholarships to five vulnerable students.

We are deeply grateful for this thoughtful gesture and his continued commitment to education, peacebuilding, and empowering the next generation.

Mr. Mulatya Bernard Nzumbi, Deputy Director State Department of Higher. Education in the Ministry of Education conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation exercise at the Islamic University of Kenya to assess preparedness for Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) and Niching Programs.

IUK, in collaboration with stakeholders, is advancing readiness for CBET implementation to align with Kenya’s skills agenda.

The visit gestures IUK’s close collaboration with the Ministry of Education and commitment to producing industry-ready graduates under the new curriculum.

The Islamic University of Kenya joins all Kenyans in celebrating Madaraka Day, a significant milestone in our nation's journey towards self-governance and national progress.

As we commemorate this day, we recommit ourselves to advancing education, fostering innovation, upholding integrity, and contributing to national development.
