Happy 36th Birthday to Me!

Dear Self,

Happy birthday! As I step into this new year, bidding farewell to what the Kenyan Constitution calls "youthfulness" and starting my journey toward the big 40, my heart is overflowing with gratitude to the Almighty. It's been quite the adventure, full of twists, turns, ups, and downs. Each year that passes serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of resilience, self-belief, self-acceptance, hard work, and authenticity.

The past 36 years have taught me invaluable lessons, and I want to share a few that have truly shaped me:

1. Be genuine and authentic.
The world has a way of adjusting and embracing the real you. There's no need for pretence.

2. Seek wise advice.
Surround yourself with genuine friends who truly have your best interests at heart, and learn from real teachers to avoid costly mistakes. Their guidance is priceless.

3. Talent requires discipline.
Raw talent alone isn't enough; it must be paired with discipline and hard work to truly flourish. Without them, it can be disastrous.

4. Value your inner circle. Build strong family bonds and cultivate a trusted circle of friends. They are the ones who will stand by you through thick and thin, even when everyone else drifts away.

Here's to another year of growth, learning, and embracing every moment with an open heart. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey so far.

Time is gone when fear was used as a tool to intimidate and install puppets. A time comes when a person must say enough is enough and fight for justice and lead his/her people to the right direction. Sometimes, we don't just raise issues here for show off or sideshows. Some issues are weighty and tokens can not address them. Our interest is long lasting solutions to the issues affecting our community. Someone may assume our parents, elders and peers don't listen to us, but owe unto you. We will use our constitutional rights as citizens to fight for our people even where leaders seems to show us their back. A man must stand for something and something must kill a man. You cannot lie to us All the time and expect that you will enjoy sheep following forever. As young people, we will stand to guide our parents and elders who have been taken for a ride since time immemorial and use anything within our reach to show them the way. Thankfully, they Are ready and receptive to our plea and guidance. I wish to reiterate it here openly that Maguma JSS issue has been previously delt and worked on by following the right protocols and guidance from the concerned people. The BOM did everything they were told and handed over the necessities to the respective office. After making a follow up from the top through our own means, we realized not even a single letter that was sent to the ministry office at jogoo house requesting for registration yet the office and outrightly lied to us they are following on the issue. Through our spirited effort, we were asked to request for reference letter from the subcounty and county offices and unfortunately, they could not trace any. We the people from maguma and it's environs feel that if we had our leaders support, this issue could have been delt with and could not have reached this level. What we lack is political good will from our elected leaders who seem to be less concerned with what matters most to the mwananchi. We are not demanding for help but we are making a kind appeal to whoever leader can help to politically spice and speed up the Maguma JSS class and registration. Majority of our people are poor and their children are yearning for a chance to change their parents future and Fortune through education. If you as a leader is not willing to help us get maguma JSS registration, kindly don't stand on our way. We will try our level best to ensure we get this done. It doesn't matter how long it will take. We will do it to our last breath. We remain focused, relentless and determined to ensure that our poor kids gets an opportunity to access affordable education which is their right. No retreat, no surrender. Happy Valentine's day fellow mwimbians.

watched a local football match in a school playing ground. As I sat down, I asked one of the boys what the score was.
With a smile, he replied; "They are leading us 3-0" !
And I said, REALLY!!
I have to say you don't look discouraged.
"Discouraged?" the boy asked with a puzzled look ...
Why should I be discouraged when the referee has not blown the final whistle?
I have confidence in the team and the managers; We shall definitely overcome!
Truly, the match ended 5-4 in favor of the boy's team!
He waved at me gently, with a beautiful smile as he left; I was amazed, mouth wide open; Such confidence; Such beautiful faith;
As I got back home that night, his question kept coming back to me:
"Why should I be discouraged when the referee has not blown the final whistle?"
Life is like a game.
Why should you be discouraged when The Almighty God is your manager? Why should you be discouraged, whist there's still life? Why should you be discouraged when your final whistle has not sounded? The truth is that many people blow the final whistle themselves;
But as long as there is life, nothing is impossible and it is never too late for you.
Half time is not full time and HIS calendar for your life is not man's calendar.
Don't blow the whistle yourself.

BE Encouraged for everything is working for your good.
Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I pass through the valley of the shadow of the death, I shall fear no evil, for you are with me.,Your rod and staff will comfort me .
