Yesterday, our school hosted an exciting and thought-provoking debate on the motion:
"The Voting Age Should Be Reduced to 16 Years."
The debate brought together some of our brightest learners, who demonstrated exceptional research, confidence, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. Both the proposition and opposition teams presented compelling arguments, making the session lively, educational, and engaging for everyone in attendance.
The proposition team passionately argued that young people today are more informed, socially aware, and capable of contributing to national decision-making processes. They emphasized the importance of giving the youth a stronger voice in shaping the future of the country.
On the other hand, the opposition team, represented by the girls, skillfully challenged the motion by highlighting the responsibilities that come with voting and the need for greater maturity and life experience before participating in national elections. Their well-structured arguments, confidence, and effective rebuttals ultimately earned them the victory.
👏 Congratulations to the Girls' Team for emerging as the winners of the debate. Your preparation, teamwork, and eloquence were truly commendable.
👏 We also celebrate the Boys' Team for their courage, determination, and strong presentation. Their contribution made the debate competitive and intellectually stimulating.
Events such as these continue to nurture leadership, communication, and analytical skills among our learners, proving that education extends far beyond the classroom. We remain committed to providing opportunities that empower students to think critically, speak confidently, and become responsible citizens.
