We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred yesterday at Kapsabet School for the Deaf, where a septic tank collapsed within the school compound, resulting in the loss of one learner and injuries to several others.

Today, we are leading a team of professional counsellors to the school to conduct a debriefing session and offer psychosocial support and trauma counselling to learners, staff, and members of the school community affected by this unfortunate incident.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the learner who lost their life, and we wish a quick recovery to those who were injured. During such painful moments, professional guidance and counselling support is essential in helping learners and staff process grief, trauma, and emotional distress.

We stand in solidarity with the entire school community during this difficult time.
