Loreto Girls High School Matunda Loreto high school, Matunda is a girls provincial high school located in Matunda, Eldoret along the Eldoret Kitale Road. Spiritually, mentally and physically.

The school currently has an enrollment of about 520 students, with form 1 to form 2 having three streams while 3 & 4 having two streams. The student population is expected to go above 600 when the two streams in form 3 & 4 are finally transformed into three streams in the next two years. The school motto (as is to be found in all lLoreto institutions worldwide) is enshrined in the latinic “CRUCI DUM SPIRO FIDO” which literally means “ON THE CROSS WHILE I LIVE I TRUST” or better still “ALL FOR THE GREAT GLORY OF GOD”. This has been a guiding dictum in all that pertains to school life and thereafter. Great emphasis is laid on the formation of an all-round person i.e. Hence, the school offers the necessary atmosphere and facilities to ensure the exploitation of individual potentialities. Spiritrually, students are encouraged to actively participate in Church functions. This includes attending mass and morning as well as evening prayers, formation of Y.C.S., Legion of Mary and the C.U. Through these organisations, students have been able not only to benefit themselves but also the community at large. Academically, the school has been competitive not only in the District but also in the Province and Nation as well. Over the years, the school has recorded good KCSE results by submitting a good number of students to the public universities with the majority joining other institutions of higher learning. The hopes and aspirations are still to achieve remarkable performances in future as reflected in our school mission statement “Shine in everything good”.

Lets all Lugarians throw our support behind Erick Matsanza (http://www.facebook.com/matsanzaerick for a better Lugari. The time is now. Register as a voter, form local and village groups so that we can rally support for him in the coming elections. He is a trans-formative leader that Lugarians can count on. He is practical oriented and development conscious, he has put shoes in the lives of our young children in Lugari, he has supported build Marula Primary School when a hurricane collapsed it. He has initiated the drilling of a borehole at St. Paul's Primary School Lugari with the support of his international friends, he has a commitment to have a borehole drilled in each of the 52 public schools in Lugari and he is not yet there. Can we lift him and put him in a place that he can do more for us. The time has come. Lets put in place the development focused leadership.
