A VISA-FREE REGIME FOR 101 COUNTRIES

Uzbekistan introduces a visa-free entry regime for foreigners under 16 (no longer than 90 days) and for transit air passengers (no longer than 5 days). The document was signed on July 4 by the President of Uzbekistan. According to the document, citizens of 101 countries traveling to a third country through the international airports of Uzbekistan can stay in Uzbekistan for up to 5 days without visas. The document comes into force from July 15, 2018.
Furthermore, the document abolishes the mandatory application to diplomatic missions and consular offices of Uzbekistan abroad and introduces the e-visa system. The amount of the consular fee for registration and issuance of an electronic entry visa is 20 USD. The e-visa will be issued for the period of stay of up to 30 days with a single entry and will be valid for 90 days from the date of issue. Payment for the visa can be made electronically through international payment systems, and the applicant does not necessarily to be the owner of a bank card.
