"I took japanese lessons with Yuko at the occasion of a visiting professorship at the law faculty of Kansai University. I had some Japanese-language skills, but I was unable to speak even the most simple sentences. With Yuko we formed a very customized series of lessons focusing on specific situations I would encounter, including travel-situations, but also small-talk with other lawyers. A focus was given on vocaulary. In the first two weeks of my stay, we had 8 3h-lessons, later one 3h lesson per week. Yuko enabled me to speak Japanese within weeks and all my japanese colleagues were very impressed. Her teaching-style is intelectual, meaning that she also explains the rules and the principles of the language, which made it much easier for me to learn. Finally, the classes were very focused, we concentrated on my needs and on the specific situations I thoght I would encounter. I am very thankful for her teaching-job; my stay in Japan would otherwise not have been so sucessful." Professor Lukas Handschin from Switzerland
