𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌 & 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬 - 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝟐 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞
𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟗 & 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟎 students at International Islamia School Otsuka - IISO learned about the legacy of 𝐀𝐥-𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐢, the pioneer Muslim mechanical engineer, realizing they are a 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐔𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐡 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲! 🦾
In the same class, students also learned about robot motion and 𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧, understanding how slow down robot motion despite being connected to high speed motors. They assembled their robots gearboxes hands one! ⚙️⚙️⚙️
Through these lessons, we plant values that inspire our students to grow into future engineers and innovators who build with purpose and excellence.

New Partnership 🎉
RoboUmmah & International Islamia School Otsuka (IISO)
Alhamdulillah, we’re pleased to share that RoboUmmah has signed a collaboration agreement with International Islamia School Otsuka - IISO in Tokyo.
This partnership marks a significant step in our mission to bring STEM and robotics education to young Muslims growing up in Japan, combining hands-on learning with Islamic values, confidence, curiosity, and community belonging.
Through this collaboration, RoboUmmah will provide:
- Practical STEM, robotics, and electronics workshops
- Values-centered learning that nurtures character and identity.
- A pathway to real opportunities in technology, engineering, AI, and innovation.
We’re grateful for the trust of IISO and excited to work closely together to support our next generation, helping them learn, build, and grow into a path of opportunities!
More updates soon, in shaa’ Allah.

By the end of the RoboUmmah Robotics Explorers Course 🤖, our students have successfully built and controlled their first robot, operating it with remote controllers like those used for TVs or air conditioners.😀
This journey strengthened their confidence, curiosity, and teamwork, and taught them the value of effort, patience, and excellence (itkan) to achieve success! 🛠🚀
💡𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡!

At RoboUmmah, every lesson is more than technical. It's a step toward helping our children feel proud of their Muslim identity.
We introduced our students to 𝐀𝐥-𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐢, the great Muslim engineer who lived in the 12th century and changed the world of mechanics and robotics. See some of his inventions below.
By learning about Al-Jazari, our students began to see that:
- 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 go hand in hand
- They are 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐔𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐡 with a history of excellence
- Being a Muslim means 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
🤲🏽 May these young minds grow to serve their communities, their Ummah, and the world with faith, excellence, and heart.

During week 4 in the Robotics Explorers course, students learned about the legacy of Al-Jazari, the Muslim pioneer of robotics and mechanical machines, who inspired generations with his gear-driven machines. ⚙️
Then, they explored:
- What are gears, and how do they work?
- Why do robots need a gearbox?
- How do gear ratios affect speed and torque?
Students assembled their own gearboxes, connected them to motors and Arduino, and watched their robot wheels come to life, all as part of building their first robot! 🚗🛠️
