十日戎（とおかえびす）とは、毎年1月10日に商売繁盛を願って行われるイベントです。毎年たくさんの人が訪れます。笹に商売繁盛にまつわるオーナメントをつけます。オーナメントはお金や運気が集まるものをモチーフにしており、1つ1つ意味があります。1年後に感謝の気持ちを込めてその笹を返しに来ます。

【十五夜】（じゅうごや）
今日は”十五夜”という日です。一年で1番月が綺麗な日です。だから月をゆっくり見て過ごす日です。そしてお米の収穫ができたことに感謝する日でもあります。十五夜の日には”月見団子”を食べます。月の中でうさぎがお餅をついているとも言われており、ウサギのモチーフのお団子を食べることもあります。

【甲子園】（こうしえん）
甲子園とは兵庫県にある野球場の名前です。この場所で春と夏のシーズンに高校生の野球の全国大会があります。夏が特に盛り上がります。それぞれの県代表が戦う場所です。たくさんのドラマがあり、高校生はいろんな思いをもってこの戦いに挑みます。負けたら終わりです。この場所で試合するために、野球をプレイする高校生たちは高校3年間すべてを練習に捧げます。そのくらい強い思いがあるので、見てる私もとても感動します。スポーツはとても大きな感動を与えてくれます。毎年このシーズンにこの野球の大会を見るのが楽しみです。

Koshien is the name of a baseball stadium in Hyogo prefecture. There is a national high school baseball tournament in this place during the spring and summer seasons. Summer is especially exciting. 京都五山送り火
京都　五山送り火とは、8月16日に行われます。お盆シーズンに帰ってきたご先祖様たちをあの世に戻す伝統行事です。漢字や船の形に置いた木に火をつけます。その文字はとても大きく、遠く離れていてもわかるほどです。このイベントは夏の終わりを教えてくれます。

【お盆】(Obon）

日本では8月中旬頃のことを”お盆”と呼びます。だいたい8月13日から15日くらいです。お盆のシーズンには「なす」と「きゅうり」で馬と牛を作る地域があります。それは”お盆”には亡くなった人やご先祖様が帰ってくると言われています。帰ってくるときは馬のように早く、帰るときは牛のゆっくりとという意味を込めて飾るそうです。お盆が終わると、なすときゅうりを川に流して清める地域もあります。
