日本の教育では、子どもたちは必ずしも「なぜそう思うのか（WHY）」や「なぜなら（BECAUSE）」を自分の言葉で説明する機会が多いとは限りません。

British Pondでは、日本とイギリス、それぞれの教育の良さを大切にしています。勤勉さ、協調性、そして物事に真剣に取り組む姿勢といった日本の良い面を尊重しながら、子どもたちが自分の考えや気持ちを自由に表現できる環境づくりにも力を入れています。

また、子どもたちがまだ幼いうちから、「なぜそう考えたのか」「なぜそう言えるのか」を自分の言葉で説明する力を育てることが大切だと考えています。

将来、正解・不正解だけが問われるテストが増えていく中でも、自分で考え、その理由を説明できる力は大きな財産になります。

幼いうちから主体的に考える習慣を身につけることは、学校生活だけでなく、大人になってからも必ず役に立つと私たちは信じています。

In the Japanese education system, kids aren't always encouraged to ask WHY or explain the BECAUSE.
Here at the British Pond, we strive to maintain the good parts of the Japanese and British education principles such as diligence, teamwork, and a strong work ethic while also giving our students the opportunity to express themselves freely.

We also believe that we have to encourage our students to explain the BECAUSE while they are still young, before the education system begins bombarding them with tests that only have a right or wrong answer with no room for interpretation or discussion.

If they establish some independent thinking habits early, it can only be good for them throughout school and also in adulthood.

Practicing subject pronouns, one of the most important and tricky parts of English.
Almost every other language has one set way after I/You/He/She/We/They, etc.

English, however, has: am, is, are.

We need to get dozens of repetitions in to have this down.
