Genghis Khan Party event 【HSI Team Omotenashi】
Hi! We are HSI Team OMOTENASHI, an official student volunteer organization of the Hokkaido Summer Institute (HSI).
This is the notification of our upcoming food events, "Genghis Khan Party" .
We look forward to your participation!
【Genghis Khan Party! 】
Genghis Khan is a famous Hokkaido dish made with mutton or sheep grilled on an iron hot plate,like BBQ. The meat can be marinated or cooked plain and dipped in sauce.Let’s enjoy the Genghis Khan Party with us!!!

📍 Location: Green space next to Central Cafeteria
💴Participation Fee: 1,500 yen

We just sent the certificates of the great achievement of the participants in HSI SDGs Challenge Competition 2023 on October 14th!
We had diverse ideas on Sustainable Food Systems from students from many countries.
Thank you very much again for being part of this competition!
The First Prize went to Team SDGirls!
The Second Prizes went to Individual Rafika Damayanti Sururin Nufus!

Mr. Prasun Agrawal
Mr. Prasun Agrawal is a global sustainability and Society5.0 leader, based out of Sapporo, Japan. Since 2008, he has been doing business with Japan in the science and technology sectors.From 2018 to 2020, he pursued an executive MBA at International University of Japan, Niigata, and was a finalist in the Hult Prize Competition and the Japan Business Model Competition. He is now a mentor to Japanese startups for business model expansion and startup ecosystem creation between Japan and Asia. He is currently working as the Senior Project Manager at AWL, Inc Corporation located at Sapporo.

Professor. INOUE Shuhei
Professor Inoue is a professional in corporate management and industry-academia joint research. He served as an advisor to the Sojitz corporation as well as a director at SINFONIA Technology Co.,Ltd. During his time, professor Inoue also oversaw the development of many overseas energy and resource development projects.
He is currently a Fellow of the Nitobe College Undergraduate Education Course.

Dr. Makoto DEMURA
Dr. Makoto DEMURA is a key figure in Hokkaido University's SDGs activities. His promotion of SDGs has helped craft the organization into a highly valued international university. More locally, he has played an important role in publicizing Hokkaido University's contribution to the SDGs through his classes at the university and his contribution to the website "Hokkaido University x SDGs". He is currently conducting research and education on proteins to contribute to the SDGs (Biomimicry, Biodesign).

Dr. Kaori KURIBAYASHI-SHIGETOMI
Dr. Kaori KURIBAYASHI-SHIGETOMI heads the Nitobe College Graduate Education Course at Hokkaido University, where she devotes herself to her studies as a Doctor of Origami Engineering. In 2013, she was named one of the “25 women in robotics you need to know about”, and was the only Asian nominee listed. She has also been a presenter at TEDxSapporo as a modern-day pioneer in origami engineering. In 2022, she was selected as a special award of "Female Entrepreneurship Challenge Grand".

Dr. Gaurab Das Mahapatra
Dr. Gaurab Das Mahapatra is an expert in architecture and he devotes himself to improving accessibility in old cities, as the SDGs encourage.
He recently completed his doctorate at Hokkaido University as a recipient of the renowned MEXT scholarship. He demonstrated his leadership in the expansion and formation of the student entrepreneurial community while serving as the Campus Director of Hult Prize @ Hokkaido University (2021-23).
He is also the co-founder and COO of a student startup, Beeber Global.
