ජපානයට නැවත ඇතුළුවන විදේශිකයන් සඳහා රෝහල් බිල්පත් ¥10,000 හෝ ඊට වැඩි මුදලක් ගෙවා නොමැති නම් ආගමන පරීක්ෂණ දැඩි කර ඇත. එමෙන්ම නීතිවිරෝධී ක්රියාකාරකම්වලට එරෙහිවද බලධාරීන් දැඩි ක්රියාමාර්ග ගනිමින් සිටී.

The Japanese government has implemented stricter immigration checks for foreign nationals attempting to re-enter the country with unpaid medical bills of 10,000 yen or more. According to a July 24 progress report from the Cabinet Secretariat in Tokyo, this policy change took effect in April, significantly lowering the previous enforcement threshold of 200,000 yen.
This financial measure is a key component of Japan's "Comprehensive Policy for Orderly Coexistence with Foreign Nationals," designed to actively curb the growing issue of unpaid healthcare expenses. Alongside medical debt enforcement, Japanese authorities are simultaneously intensifying crackdowns on other illicit activities, including organized theft and unauthorized "white taxi" operations run by foreign nationals. Recent police operations highlighting this enforcement include the July arrests of a Vietnamese national operating illegally near Narita Airport and a Chinese highly-skilled professional offering unlicensed taxi services at Tokyo Station. Moving forward, Japanese law enforcement agencies will continue to closely coordinate with international counterparts to foster a secure, orderly, and responsible environment for all residents.
