I just finished reading “How Women Rise” by Sally Helgesen and Marshall Goldsmith, and wow, what a powerful read for women looking to grow as a leader. It’s geared specifically towards women and the unique challenges, expectations, and habits that we face and how to overcome them. It stems from the book, “What Got You Here, Won’t Get You There” by Marshall Goldsmith.

The book explores the habits that can hold women back in their careers, many of which stem from strengths that, when overused, can become obstacles. There are great, actionable tools and constructive suggestions to work on some of these things. One of the tools that I’ve been using for years in my coaching work with my clients is the Feed Forward, which Marshall created.

Have you read this or “What Got You Here, Won’t Get You There”?

Yesterday I had the opportunity to be on the other side of the table as a participant in a LEGO Serious Play workshop at the IGLC conference in Japan at the Expo 2025 Osaka. What an experience it was! We explored the future of the construction industry and the value of lean construction.

It was valuable to gain new ideas on how to facilitate and design LSP workshops, meet and collaborate with new people from around the world, and co-create our vision of what the future of the industry could be. It’s all rooted in respect for people and the human being element.

Leadership is about courage. It’s about finding the courage to show up and have difficult conversations, to take risks and embrace change.

It's International Coaching Week! International Coaching Week is a weeklong global celebration of the power and impact of professional coaching.

I absolutely love what I do, and I've worked really hard to achieve the certifications and credentials that I have. International Coaching Federation (ICF)-credentialed coaches like myself are professionals who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession.

Have you been curious about coaching for yourself or someone on your team? I'd love to offer you time to talk and explore if it's a right fit.

Individual and team coaching is a great way to build a higher level of engagement for improved culture, communication and cohesiveness. Now is a great time to start the conversation.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, it's a good reminder to check in with ourselves, at home and at work, too.

Work can be a major source of stress, so it's essential to build healthy habits that support our mental well-being on the job. Here are a few small but impactful ways to do that:

🧘 Take short breaks to reset your focus

📅 Put time blocks on your calendar for getting things done

🚶 Get fresh air, step outside, and take a few deep breaths

🎧 Use music or mindfulness apps to create calm breaks in your day

Mental health matters every month, but this month is a great time to be intentional and right set.

Share your ideas on ways you stay grounded throughout the day.

The Enneagram is more than a personality tool—it’s a powerful framework for building stronger, more connected teams. 🧩

By helping us understand our core motivations, fears, and desires, the Enneagram boosts self-awareness and deepens empathy. It gives teams the language to better understand themselves and each other, laying the foundation for real collaboration and trust.

Using the Enneagram in a team setting can:
✔️ Strengthen communication
✔️ Improve conflict resolution
✔️ Highlight individual strengths
✔️ Foster appreciation for different working styles

And yes—it can be fun, too! Whether used in a workshop or informally outside of meetings, the Enneagram opens the door for deeper conversations and meaningful growth.

If your team could use a little extra connection and cohesion, let’s chat about how we can help your team with the Enneagram!

Respect is the foundation of every great team. 🤝

When team members feel respected, they feel safe to share ideas, take risks, and show up as their authentic selves. Respect creates space for open communication, collaboration, and trust—and it turns a group of individuals into a true team.

Here’s what respect looks like in action:
🔹 Listening without interrupting
🔹 Valuing diverse perspectives
🔹 Giving credit where it’s due
🔹 Addressing conflict with empathy
🔹 Holding each other accountable with care

Respect doesn’t mean always agreeing—it means acknowledging each person’s worth, even in disagreement.

When respect is part of your culture, everything else gets stronger: engagement, innovation, and performance.

How do you foster respect in your team?
