セリーナは日本に帰って来てからもう２週間経ちました。１０ヶ月間南カリフォルニアに祖父、祖母、そしてひいおばあさんと一緒に住んでいて、英語（スペイン語も）で毎日を過ごしていたし、日本に帰って来た日に英語しか出なかったからもしかしたら日本語忘れてるんちゃうかなと思ってたけどセリーナは小学校に行き出したら大阪弁喋りながらすっかり慣れて来ました。子供ってどんな環境を与えても吸収してスピーディに慣れるわ。👧🗾
It's been over 2 weeks since our 8 yr old daughter has been back living with us here in Japan.🎌 She lived in California🇺🇸 for 10 months with her grandparents and great grandmother and went to a local elementary school there. In Japan, the school year begins in April so she has joined elementary school mid semester. Nearly all elementary school students in Japan wear uniforms. The uniforms differ slightly from school to school. Our daughter was in a different elementary school here in Japan two years ago so we had to purchase a new uniform set this month for this new school. So for example, her previous uniform and hat were navy blue with a white shirt. However, the colors of the uniforms in her new school are a yellow hat, brown uniform with a creme shirt. Here in Japan, children use two different pairs of shoes on a daily basis.👟 As you can see in the photos, the outdoor shots show her outdoor shoes which are considered "dirty" in Japan. Her indoor slip-on shoes are the ones that she and her classmates must wear while inside school grounds and these are the "clean" ones. Last but not least, Japanese children don't use backpacks and instead use traditional Japanese school bags called "randsel."🎒 These bags often cost between $300 and $1,200, are made of study leather, and are expected to last a child the entire duration of elementary school (6 yrs) and then some! They are often given as gifts to children from grandparents and symbolize a child's maturity and growth while attending elementary school.
