Part-Time Job Rules for International Students in Japan 🇯🇵

When studying in Japan, there are important rules to follow regarding part-time jobs:

Work Permit 📝:
You need to get a "Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted Under the Status of Residence Previously Granted" from the Immigration Bureau before starting any part-time job.

Working Hours ⏰:

During academic terms: Up to 28 hours per week.
During long school vacations (e.g., summer or winter breaks): Up to 8 hours per day.
Job Restrictions 🚫:
Jobs in the adult entertainment industry (e.g., bars, nightclubs, pachinko parlors) are strictly prohibited. Violating this rule can lead to visa cancellation and deportation.

Choosing the Right Job ✅:
Pick a job that doesn't interfere with your studies and respects Japanese laws and cultural norms. Many international students work in restaurants, convenience stores, as translators, or in language schools.

Taxes and Insurance 💵:
