ＯＢ会では、コロナ禍により滅失した日芸バスドラムを、空手道部創立80周年を記念し、芸術学部へ寄贈いたします。
🥁バスドラムは、校歌・日大節・応援歌を通じて、日本大学の伝統を全学規模で交流・共有し、「自主創造」の理念の象徴として表現してきた楽器です。
新幹部諸君には✊空手道部の完全復旧を成し遂げるとともに、全学運動部を導く中核として、大きく飛躍されることを期待します。
🥋大いなる節目に、心よりの敬意を込めて。

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Karate Club, the Alumni Association will present a new Nichigei bass drum to the College of Art, replacing the original that was lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This bass drum has long symbolized the spirit of “self-creation,” expressing the traditions of Nihon University—its school song, Nichidai-bushi, and cheering songs—while serving as a unifying instrument shared across all athletic clubs.
To the new leadership: fully restore the Karate Club and rise as central leaders of the entire university athletic community.

With deepest respect on this great milestone.

✊The 80th Anniversary commemorative ballpoint pen (Mitsubishi uni, 4-color + mechanical pencil) has arrived.
This is a special commemorative gift (not for sale) that will be presented to those attending on June 13.
🥋This piece was carefully conceived and refined through deliberation at the Executive Training Camp and Board of Directors meeting, with attention given to every detail.
It is a fitting item to mark this historic milestone.
In addition, commemorative T-shirts and other anniversary projects are currently in progress.

創部80年の節目にあたり、
学部長よりご祝辞を賜りました。

記念誌・記念品の制作、記念寄付、
そして6月に挙行する記念式典（新入生歓迎会を兼ねる）および記念演武に向け、準備が本格化しています。
ご祝辞は6名の先生・関係者の皆様から寄せられる予定ですが、
学部長には特別にWEB公開のご承認をいただきました。

80年の歴史を、次の世代へとつなぐ試みの一環として――
空手道部完全復活に向け、

We have received a congratulatory message from the Dean of the College.

Preparations are now in full swing for the commemorative publication and memorabilia, the commemorative donation campaign,
as well as the anniversary ceremony to be held in June (in conjunction with the welcome event for new students) and the commemorative demonstration.

Although congratulatory messages are expected from six professors and related individuals,
the Dean has graciously granted special permission for this message to be published on the web.

As part of our efforts to pass on eighty years of history to the next generation—
and toward the complete revival of the Karate Club—
we are pleased to present the Dean’s message here in advance.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Goju-Ryu Karate Club of Nihon University College of Art,
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations.

I recall being deeply impressed at the time of the 70th anniversary by the phrase,
“Know yourself, discipline yourself, and overcome yourself,”
which resonated profoundly with the spirit of your club.
Over the past decade since then, the world has faced the unprecedented crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic,
and there must have been difficult times when even gathering for training was not possible.
Yet, by overcoming such adversity, you have continued to carry forward the flame of tradition for eighty long years.
I would like to express my deepest respect for the tireless efforts of the current members
and the warm support of your distinguished alumni.

When I reflect on this history and tradition that have been passed down continuously since before I was born,
I cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of powerful energy.
The days spent within this profound history, training together through both hardship and joy,
will surely become irreplaceable treasures for life for both the current members and the alumni.

As you move toward the great milestone of the 100th anniversary of your founding,
I sincerely hope that you will achieve even greater progress in the spirit of “Osu.”
With these wishes, I offer my congratulatory message.
