In Japan where we live, temples ring a huge bell 108 times just before midnight to remove the yearʼs sins. This is repeated every year.

But Jesus removed our sins completely, once for all time, and opened the way to know God as our Father, when he died on the cross and rose again!

John writes, “And Christ himself is the means by which our sins are forgiven, and not our sins only, but also the sins of everyone.” (1 John 2:2)
