Greeting students, staff and friends. We are pleased to report the new year has brought many new students to our school, as well as Thom's father, affectionately known as "Papa Peace". As we experience the challenges that go along with growth and change, we wanted to take a moment to thank the teachers and especially the staff for their hard work and dedication.
Wow, what an exciting, eventful week here at DC English School! On Thursday night the school was transformed into a children's theater. Three of our star students; Saki, Nana and Mai (ages 6 &7) performed a one-act play: "Christmas Party at the Palace," written and directed by our very own Ayane Kuwajima. The show was followed by a lovely reception where h'orderves were served and flower bouquets were presented to performers and teachers alike. What a treat! Thanks moms and dads for your support.

A night to remember--Special thanks to Audrey Genoulaz, Keiko, Kazumi K., Terumi Akama, Brite Eguavon, Paul A. Guss, Warren Comstock, Steven Roberston, James Shogo Mochizuki, and Mayumi for their support. Happy New year!
Many thanks to all the students, teachers and guests who attended our Christmas party on Saturday. By all accounts it was a raving success, thanks to you! The January party theme is game night. Whether you're a player or spectator (poker, Shogi) you won't want to miss it. The event will launch our new, bi-monthly game nights on Sundays starting in January. Stay tuned for dates and times.
