Bridge For Peace(BFP) started as a group to bring Filipino war survivors and Japanese ex-soldiers closer by listening to and recording their stories and creating video message to exchange between them. Currently we are expanding our activities to China and the Korean Peninsula.
We work to develop connections for peopole across all generations and borders, to build a bridge between Asian nations and the wider world and acknowledge our Past, Today, and the Future so that we may create a peaceful society without war.
Our main activity is to create opportunities to "discuss wars of the past and consider on how to shape the future".
We had done 168 workshops, 8314 people joined(As of April 2012).
We offer victims real voices so that the participants start to think the issue seriously.
Our mission is to create opportunities to "discuss wars of the past and consider on how to shape the future" through workshops where different ideas meet and synergy is created by all participating members so that the young Japanese generation become more aware of what had happened in the past.
