Today was an exhibition (a.k.a unit celebration) day in Star Class! Their families were amazed to see all of the mini-beast research projects and terrarium productions that Star class friends had been working on. Well done, Star class friends! 🌟

We had our annual Summerhill Sports day in Arisugawa park today! Although we were worried about the gloomy weather, it turned out to be a perfect sunny day where we all rolled up our sleeves and some friends even took off a layer of their shirt☀️ It was a huge success🎖Congrats to all!

This week, we enjoyed our own book week where each class focused and dug down deep on a specific book through reading, making arts and crafts, singing, and engaging in fun activities. It was amazing to see our friends expressing their creativity when making their own books!

We had another combined activities with Star class(K5) and Sunset class(K2) today! Sunset friends were paying so much attention as Star class friends had their mini-lecture about gardening. The gardening project went well. Thank you, Star class friends!

Our Spring Fun 2022 theme was “Into The Woods” and our Summerhill friends had a great opportunity to learn about spring bugs, animals, flowers, fairytales, and fun nature explorations! It’s good to see their smiles on their faces. We hope that every child will have an awesome spring break!

This week, there was a combined activities with Star Class and Half Moon class where Star Class friends shared what they have learned in their gardening project unit to Half Moon friends. It was a great opportunity for both classes to learn from and teach for different age-group class.

Happy Friday Everyone! Today was our final day of our International Week! We appreciate all the parents and teachers for their amazing presentation about their countries. Throughout the week, Summerhill friends were able to expand their perspectives by studying about the cultures that are different from theirs. It was a great opportunities and experiences for all Summerhill friends. Thank you and have a great weekend!

What makes today so special is that today is Hinamatsuri Celebration in Japan! We had many parents coming in to our classroom sharing wonderful traditions of Hinamatsuri. Friends enjoyed making crafts, reading books about the celebration, and wearing traditional costumes. Happy Hinamatsuri to all of you!
