Happy New Year! Japanese people send each other New Year’s cards called “nengajyo”. This is usually designed with symbols of good luck or the animal of the year out of the 12 animals in the Chinese astrological calendar. This year’s symbol is “bird”. So, I have designed Pablo Casals who is very famous cellist in my card. Because he often played Catalunya traditional music “El Cant dels Ocells”. This means “Song of birds”. So I designed. Happy New Year, again!
