[Kyoto Municipal Saiin Junior High School Work Challenge (2-5 June 2026)]
Four students from Kyoto Municipal Saiin Junior High School came to Kyoto Minsai Japanese Language School for a week-long work experience where they helped out in various departments and learned about the challenges and joys of work. They also had opportunities to interact with our international students, making it a valuable and eye-opening experience for the young learners.

昨日より、京都民際で第３回Teacher Training Programが開講されました。
Teacher Training Programとは、海外現地で日本語を教えている先生方が、日本語の教え方をさらに向上させるための研修プログラムです。

【TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM 2026 Opening Ceremony (4 June 2026)】
The opening ceremony for The Third Teacher Training Program (TTP) was held at Kyoto Minsai Tenjingawa Campus Tea Room yesterday.
The TTP is a training program for overseas-based Japanese language teachers who teach Japanese overseas to further improve their teaching methods.

【Koka Waku Waku × Sukoyaka Fes 2026 (31 May 2026)】💃
Last Sunday, Kyoto Minsai once again participated in the Koka Waku Waku × Sukoyaka Fes 2026 held at Kyoto Koka University!
Several of our long term Nepalese and Burmese students performed traditional dances to the delight of spectators, including some of their teachers and classmates who came to support them! Thank you to our students for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their talents! 👏

この間、天神川キャンパスのお茶室で2026年4月の２回目新入生歓迎会お茶席を行いました。🍵 新入生たちは宇治の玉露（ぎょくろ）と羊羹（ようかん）という特別なお菓子をいただきました。

🍵【April 2026 Intake Second Welcome Tea Ceremony (27 May 2026)】🍵
Kyoto Minsai held its Welcome Tea Ceremonies for the delayed students from the April 2026 Intake at our Tenjingawa Campus Tea Room the other day. 🍵
They were treated to Gyokuro tea from Uji City and a sweet called Youkan.

【右京区安心安全・花いっぱい運動（2026/05/22)】🌺
右京区より提供の花苗50株で、5ヵ国の学生ボランティアが初夏の花壇をつくりました。
西院キャンパスに4種の花苗(ベゴニア、ペチュニア、マリーゴールド、ポーチェラカ)と土、肥料、種子が届けられました。 作業当日のお昼休み、韓国、スリランカ、アメリカ、インドネシア、トルコの留学生が中心になり、植え替え作業のお手伝いをしてくれました。好きな場所に、好きな花を、自由に植えよう！「元気なお花に育ってね」と思いもこめて
一株一株、丁寧に植えられました。天神川でも、古い株の抜き取り、新しい土と肥料の混ぜ込み、花苗の配置決め、水やり等、黙々と作業します。 🍀
民際にいらっしゃる方には、季節のお花でおもてなし♪
学生がデザインした素敵な花壇が完成です。😊

【Ukyo Ward Flower Planting Campaign (22 May 2026)】🌺
Last Friday, using 50 flower seedlings provided by Ukyo Ward, some of our long term international students decorated the flowerbed of our Saiin and Tenjingawa Campuses.

Our students from South Korea, Turkey, the US, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka took the lead in cleaning up the soil and deciding the placement of the four types of flower seedlings (begonia, petunia, marigold, portulaca) on the flowerbeds. 🍀

The two flowerbeds are now on full view at both campuses for everyone to enjoy and appreciate! Our thanks to Ukyo Ward for the seedlings and to our students for taking time out of their day to help make our community a little brighter. 😊

【校外学習：漢字ミュージアム (2026/5/20)】
この間、初中級の学生たちが漢字ミュージアムに行きました。漢字ミュージアムでは、体で漢字を表現したり、自分の名前の漢字を調べたりしました。漢字に関するクイズやゲームも体験しました。
また、漢字の歴史、歴代の今年の漢字なども見て、普段学んでいる漢字の奥深さを知ることができました！🤓

【Class Field Trip: Kanji Museum (20 May 2026)】
Last Wednesday, our pre-interemediate classes went on a field trip to the Japan Kanji Museum & Library in Higashiyama Ward. Our students were able to look at kanji in a different light by engaging in activities like quizzes and interactive kanji games. They also learned the history of kanji and had a look at the various Kanji of the Year. 🤓
