I feel honored and flattered at the same time.✨☺️🥹

Can you use "i.e." and "e.g." interchangeably? Quick answer: NO!
e.g is the abbreviation for exempli gratia and means “for example.”
i.e is the abbreviation for id est, which means “in other words.”

Here are some useful discourse markers that you can use to organize your responses in TOEFL and IELTS Speaking tests.
💡Discourse markers (words like 'however', 'although', and 'nevertheless') are referred to more commonly as 'linking words' and 'linking phrases', or 'sentence connectors. They may be described as the 'glue' that binds together a piece of writing, making the different parts of the text stick together. They are used less frequently in speech unless the speech is very formal.
🌟Without sufficient discourse markers in a piece of writing, a text would not seem logically constructed and the connections between the different sentences and paragraphs would not be obvious.
‼️Care must also be taken, however, to avoid over-use of discourse markers. Using too many of them, or using them unnecessarily, can make a piece of writing sound too heavy and 'artificial'. They are important, but must only be used when necessary.

QUESTIONS THAT STIMULATE A CONVERSATION (Useful for teachers and parents)
Instead of asking,
How was your day?
Try asking:
Can you tell me something that made you laugh today?
(You can learn a lot about your student's sense of humor and get them smiling by asking them to recount things that made them laugh.)
Instead of asking,
How was your day?
Try asking:
What was easier today than yesterday?
(Encouraging your students to notice that their practice is making a difference helps instill a positive self-image and a growth mindset.)
Instead of asking,
Did you eat your lunch?
Try asking:
Who did you sit by at lunch today?
(Allowing your students to discuss friends they may have difficulty getting along with opens opportunities to discuss how others make them feel.)
Instead of asking,
Did you have a good day?
Try asking:
What did you do that made someone smile today?
(Show your students that school isn't just about academics. Kindness matters.)
Instead of asking,
What did you learn at school?
Try asking:
Did you enjoy art or science more today?
(Being specific with your questions facilitates a detailed response and opens the door for further discussion.)
Instead of asking,
What did you do today?
Try asking:
I love hearing about your school day.
(Sometimes, questions are overwhelming. Letting your students know that you're interested permits them to share when they're ready.)
Here's a peek of my Tagalog class with kids from Abu Dhabi. Their moms are Filipinos but they speak English all the time. Their moms found me on Instagram, (which was really amazing) and asked me to teach their kids Tagalog. It's been a month since they started learning with me, and they have displayed astounding progress!😊 Ipagpatuloy niyo yan, mga bata! 👏🏻🥳✨🌟
What adjective best describes your day today?
