Scene Study Class ((The-summer-session-that-will-likely-roll-into-the-fall.) because I like short titles for things)) IS A GO! The work begins next Tuesday night. Two spaces remain open. email me if you are interested.
Hey All, Now that Tokyo Arts Week is wrapped up I'm going to resume my Scene Study Class if there are enough people interested. We currently have 4. We need 4-6 more to make it happen (class is never more than 10 students). Class will be on a weekday night (likely Tuesday or Thursday) from 6pm or 6:30 - just depends on what works best for the majority. Email me if you are interested. [email protected]
Last night was filled with excitement that deserves sharing. You should have seen Ken and Roehl! They totally kicked in the walls of their scene (Someone Who'll Watch Over Me). It was beautiful. Full of deep sadness delivered via a quiet stillness that nearly brought tears to my eyes - no kidding. I've never seen these two do so little and yet accomplish so much. It was a true lesson in 'doing less'.

Ken was taken to task on his monologue this week. Great work!
I want to give a shout out to Sonia Bruinooge for her work last week. I challenged her on her monologue, had her running all over the place and really took her out of her comfort zone. She opened up and as a result produced work that moved everyone in the class. Way to go Sonia!
After running 2 and well into the third go around of my scene study class I've finally gotten around to creating this page. Current & past students please post/like and spread the word!
