The Harvard Grant Study. 80 years. Thousands of lives.

One finding that changed how I think about everything I teach.
The happiest, healthiest people at 80 weren't the most successful ones.

They were the most connected ones in warm and supportive relationships. Not connected to platforms.

To people. With warmth. With presence. With the kind of attention that says I'm actually here with you.

That capacity doesn't happen automatically. It has to be cultivated.

The Six Circles of Mindfulness lead you into living with wholeness and Presence in all dimensions of your life.

Loneliness isn't always about being alone.

Sometimes it appears after years of building a career, raising a family, meeting responsibilities, and becoming the person everyone else relies on.

From the outside, life looks full.
On the inside, you may feel disconnected from the person living it.

The most important relationship you'll ever have is the one you have with yourself.

So today, instead of asking, *"Who am I connected to?"* try asking:

**"When was the last time I truly felt connected with myself?"**

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Has there been a season in your life when you felt this way?

Satori (悟り) the Zen word for sudden awakening.

Not awakening as a far away destination. A moment of seeing clearly what is already there. Of feeling completely present and whole.

We have all had these moments.
The question is “How can you create the conditions for them more often until it is consistently available?

What happens to "you" under anaesthesia?

Not sleep. Not dreaming.

Something science still can't fully explain.

But it raises a bigger question one that matters even when you're wide awake:

Are you your thoughts? Or is there something thoughts simply arise within?

What if the deepest form of connection isn't about talking...

It's about being fully present.

Research suggests that when people share genuine presence, aspects of their physiology can begin to synchronise.

Maybe that's why the moments we remember most are often the quiet ones.

Question:What changes when two people are no longer simply together... but truly present?

Achievement and fulfilment are not the same thing.

One is about what you've built.
The other is about how connected you feel to what you've built.

Many people spend years climbing the right ladder only to discover it's leaning against the wrong wall.
The question isn't how much you've achieved.
The question is whether your life feels whole.
Which area of life gets most of your attention?
Which area of life is truly nurturing your sense of fulfilment?

Most of us spend so much energy trying to control our thoughts that we forget we don't have to believe every one of them.

One of my favourite moments from my conversation with Simone Feiler.

A simple reminder that has stayed with me:

"Be the mountain. Let your thoughts be the clouds."

You don't need a perfectly clear mind to find peace. You just need to stop identifying with every thought that passes through it.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in your own head, I think this perspective will really resonate.

This clip is from The Simone Feiler Podcast.

What's one thought you've learned to let pass instead of holding onto?

Every moment offers an invitation.

Not to become someone new, but to return to who you’ve always been beneath the noise, the rushing, and the endless thinking.

The simplest things like a conscious breath, a pause opening to a moment of stillness, can become quiet reminders that this moment is the only place life is ever truly lived.

Presence isn’t something you achieve - It’s something you make room for, a living experience here and now.

What helps bring you back to the present?

Most of us spend our lives trying to *do* more.

More goals. More productivity. More achievements.

But what if the greatest transformation doesn't come from doing more... but from becoming more aware?

When we shift our identity from constantly chasing to consciously *being*, something changes. We bring presence into our conversations, calm into our decisions, and compassion into our relationships. Ironically, our "doing" becomes more meaningful because it flows from a place of awareness rather than urgency.

Mindfulness isn't about stepping away from life.

It's about showing up to life with greater clarity, intention, and presence.

These are the kinds of reflections you'll find throughout my book, small shifts in perspective that can create profound changes in the way we live, lead, and connect.

✨ If this resonates with you, the link is in my bio to explore the book.

And tell me in the comments: Do you find yourself spending more time "doing" or truly "being"?

Great to catch up with friend Winz Bert, discuss what’s been happening in our lives and the world since we last met.
Winz is a great performer,R&B vocalist, with interesting business projects afoot. A true professional, man of integrity, deeply good soul and friend.
It’s great to love and appreciate those connections when you cross paths with someone on the same wavelength and as the years go by, you keep in touch and it becomes another rich and meaningful thread in the tapestry of life.
