鎌倉長谷にある「大異山高徳院清浄泉寺（しょうじょうせんじ）」の本尊である「阿弥陀如来像」。通称「鎌倉大仏」「長谷の大仏」。鎌倉大仏に限っては、大仏と書いて「おさらぎ」とも読ませる。

鎌倉大仏は国内国外を通して非常に有名だが、参拝者で混み合うこともあってか、ロケ地としてはメジャーな作品では小津安二郎の「麦秋」や「DESTINY 鎌倉ものがたり」くらいで、思ったほどは利用されていない。

The Great Buddha “Amitabha statue” is the principal image of “kohtoku-in” in Kamakura Hase. Known as “The Great Buddha of Kamakura” and “The Great Buddha of Hase”. Only in the case of the Great Buddha of Kamakura, it is written as the Great Buddha and read as “Osaragi”.

The Great Buddha of Kamakura is very famous both inside and outside Japan. But perhaps because it is crowded with worshipers, as for the filming location, the major works are Yasujiro Ozu’s “Early Summer” and “DESTINY Kamakura Monogatari”, which are not used as much as we expected.

首都から１時間の距離にある鎌倉は、三方を緑豊かな低山に囲まれ、由比ヶ浜海岸と材木座海岸の延長線に広がる太平洋への眺望に恵まれた風光明媚な首都圏のベッドタウンです。１６０を超える寺社を擁し禅のような精神文化塾生の伝統があり、日本で最初の別荘地の一つとして華族、富裕層らが次々と別荘を構え、文士や芸術家が集い、明治維新以降の近代日本を彩った歴史観光の街です。かつて松竹撮影所も居を構えていて、映画の街として栄えた映画の歴史のある街でもあります。

また、スローライフが見直されるにつれ、ゆったり暮らせる街として、住職接近やリモートワークの拠点、終のすみかとしても注目を浴びています。歴史的な側面だけはなく、そんなライフスタイルを切り取った映画やドラマの舞台としても親しまれています。

歴史の香りが残り、海あり山あり、マリンスポーツやシェアハウスやゲストハウスを舞台にする人間模様といった多彩なロケシーンを想像することができるでしょう。

２０２０年に発足した「鎌倉ロケーションサービス（鎌倉フィルムコミッション）」は、まだまだ発展途上ではありますが、そんな鎌倉の魅力を映像に活用していただくお手伝いをしたいと考えています。

Kamakura, an hour away from the capital, is a scenic commuter town in the Tokyo metropolitan area, surrounded on three sides by lush low mountains and blessed with a view of the Pacific Ocean that beyond the Yuigahama coast and the Zaimokuza coast. There are more than 160 temples and shrines here, and there is a history of mature spiritual culture such as Zen. And And in modern times as one of the first holiday home area in Japan, the ”Kazoku”(nobility) and wealthy people set up villas one after another, and literary figures and artists gathered in search of Patronage. Even after prospering as the capital of samurai in the Middle Ages, this city has colored modern Japan since the Meiji Restoration. It is a tourist town with a long history. And there is a Shochiku movie studio where Yasujiro Ozu spent a lot of time, and it once prospered as a movie city too.

In addition, Influenced by the tendency to review slow life, it is attracting attention as a city where you can live comfortably, as a base for approaching staycation and remote working, and as a final abode in the life too. Not only the historical aspect, it is also popular as a stage for movies and dramas that cut out such a lifestyle.

You can imagine a variety of location scenes, such as a city with a scent of history, a city with sea and mountains, and a city of people with a unique lifestyle.

Established in 2020, "Kamakura Location Service (Kamakura Film Commission)" is still a developing organization, but I would like to make efforts to utilize the charm of Kamakura in the images of many creators.
