We welcomed four friends from Australia on their graduation trip to Japan.

They’ve been friends since high school and are traveling through Japan on their graduation trip!

One of them, who dreams of becoming a chef, booked our workshop for his friends

It was his first time, yet his hands were confident and beautifully precise.

We can’t wait for the day he serves onigiri at his own restaurant🍙‼️

By now, they’re back in Australia, spending Christmas with their families. 🎄

We truly hope they’ll carry
precious memories from Japan with them wherever life takes them next.

今日は、アメリカから来てくださった素敵なご夫婦をお迎えしました。
お二人は定年後の旅を楽しみながら、料理や食文化にもとても興味があり、
おにぎり作りでも息の合ったやり取りが見られて、温かくて楽しい時間になりました。

お二人の姿を見ていると
「いつか私たちも、あんなふうに温かく、好奇心を持って、毎日を楽しみながら生きていたいな」
と心から思いました。

また、日本の食文化の話に熱心に耳を傾けてくださって、本当にありがとうございました。

こうした一期一会の出会いを大切にしながら、
おにぎりを通して世界中の方々とつながれることに、改めて感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。🍙✨

When you come to Hiroshima, keep your hotel breakfast light! Our Onigiri Workshop runs from 10:30 to 12:00 — it doubles as brunch and is a great chance to make Japanese friends!
We can also offer a Maki Sushi class upon request!
