The 43rd Hiroshima Mathematics Education Research Group (HMERG) meeting was held on May 23-24, 2026, at Hiroshima University.
We featured 5 presentations on important topics in mathematics education, along with thought-provoking insights from Professor Emeritus Hideki Iwasaki:
1. Differentiated-Open Approach for Mathematics Classroom

2. Introduction of the Mathematics Guidance (provisional content)

3. Mathematics Teachers' Noticing of Statistical Thinking

4. Mathematics Assessment Using Cognitive Diagnostic Models

5. An Analysis of Alignment Between Curriculum Standards and Textbooks
We had meaningful discussions over the two days, which encouraged us to reflect more deeply on our ideas about teaching, learning, and research.
We sincerely thank all presenters and participants for their valuable contributions.
