九州大学建設材料システム工学研究室（鉄筋研） [Staff] 濱田秀則 教授 (Professor; Hidenori HAMADA) 佐川康貴 准教授 (Associate Professo Concrete Engineering Laboratory was started by Prof. T. Yoshida in 1912. Mizuno, Dr. Y.

Kyushu University was founded as one of the Imperial Universities in 1911 in Fukuoka, Kyushu Island and has strong relationships with Asia-Pacific countries historically and geographically. Dr. Yoshida is famous as a pioneer of concrete engineering in Japan. After him, Dr. T. Tokumitsu, Dr. Y. Sakamoto and Dr. H. Matsush*ta were followed as a professor. The laboratory has run for more than 90 years. Nowadays Prof. H. Hamada is a head of members, and supervises more than 10 students. The laboratory is making many results about durability of concrete, utilization of recycled materials, development of diagnosis method for actual concrete structures etc. The laboratory was relocated to a new campus in Ito on the western part of Fukuoka City in March, 2007. We believe that this will strengthen the research infrastructures and promote our facilities.
