The hot summer of Hakata kicked off
with the heroic Hakata Gion Yamakasa
festival on July 1st.
This Hakata Yamakasa festival, which
has a history of 784 years, began with
the practice of praying for disease
prevention by sprinkling sacred water.
The sight of men in happi coats pulling
the Yamakasa is a special sight that
excites spectators at this summer
festival in Hakata.
From July 1st to 15th, many foreign
tourists come to Hakata/Fukuoka to
see the 17 gorgeously decorated
Yamakasa and the dedicated Yamakasa
of Kushida Shrine.
During this period, the town heats up
and you can feel the energy in Hakata/
Fukuoka.
Incidentally, Hakata Gion Yamakasa is
registered as a National Important
Intangible Folk Cultural Property/
UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
We highly recommend watching the 4km Oiyama run at 15:45 on 7/12, the group Yamakasa display at 15:30
on 7/13, and the early morning
Oiyamakasa (final day)at 4:59 on 8/15.

春一番「桜」
春になるとサクラを見るのが毎年の楽しみ！
サクラの花びらが散る様は、とても優雅で美しい心の
残る風景です。
サクラの花言葉「優美な女性」は、サクラのしとやかな
美しさを女性に見立てたことが由来になりました。
サクラは折れた部分から腐ってしまうといわれています。
そんなサクラの木を折ってしまった子どもの頃の
ジョージ・ワシントンは、そのことを正直に告白しました。
その出来事が花言葉の「精神の美」の由来になっています。
日本にある多くはソメイヨシノで、全国の8割を占めると
いわれています。しかし、サクラは種類が数多く
国内だけでも600種類以上あるとのこと。
ちなみに、テレビや新聞などに掲載されている
開花予想はソメイヨシノをもと行われています。

福岡中央公園の桜は、明日以降が見頃です！

春の訪れはすぐそこまで！
春の訪れを感じると、気分も自然と明るく
なります。
「春が来た！」は英語でSpring is here!
そんな春を求めて近くの山にハイキングを
楽しみました。
名も知らない小川の淵に咲く「水仙の花」や
土手の素晴らしい「梅の木」のピンクの花。
川側の土手に誰が植えたか「キンカン」の
実った木等、

当分温かい日が続くようですが、
4月初めに来る寒波の後の優しい風の中の、
入学式の桜吹雪
全てが新しくスタートします。

春は新しい始まりや成長の季節。
そんな春の雰囲気や気持ちを英語で表現できると、

When you feel the coming of spring,

I took a walk around Vienna's old town for
the first time in a year!
Wien City working!
Walking around the palace and old town,
which still retain the vestiges of a glorious history, the alleys where musicians like
Mozart and Beethoven walked, and
the streets lined with long-established shops that were patronized by the palace!
A mecca for tourism, the entire inner ring road,
known as the Ring, is registered as a World Heritage Site as a historic district.
The three main streets of Vienna are Kärntner Strasse, which is lined with high-end boutiques, cafes, andrestaurants, and Kohlmarkt Strasse, which runs from Graben Strasse to the palace and Michaeler Gate, with St. Stephen's Cathedral, the symbol of the city.
There is also a pedestrian zone, so you can
take your time sightseeing.
Going south on Kärntner Strasse, you will find
the Vienna State Opera next to Sacher's shop.
You can also enjoy sightseeing in the ancient city　by taking a Fäiker (city sightseeing carriage) from St. Stephen's Cathedral.
Kohlmarkt Strasse is lined with traditional long-established shops, and there is always
a queue at the cafe "Demel".
Graben, Vienna's first pedestrian street, is
home to the artistically designed Memorial
to the End of the Plague, and is a lively and
fun street lined with souvenir shops
and cafes.
Kärntner Strasse is bustling with people
all day long,
with cafes, shops, and hotels lining both sides of the street, and it is always lively with musicians and street performers.

1年ぶりにウィーン旧市街をを散策！

華やかな歴史の面影を残す王宮と旧市街地、

唐津くんち…
11月に入ると勇壮な唐津くんちが始まる。
毎年のことながら今年も恥ずかしながら、
ご招待を期待して待っている。
２０２４年度の開催日は毎年11月2・3・4日
に開催される唐津神社の秋季例大祭
「唐津くんち」は、秋季例大祭で
唐津最大の行事である！
「くんち」は「供日」とも書き、
収穫感謝の意が込められているお祭りで
この「唐津くんち」は、平成28年に
ユネスコ無形文化遺産指定され 　
笛、鐘、太鼓で奏でられる三ッ囃子
（みつばやし）や曳子（ひきこ）の
「エンヤ、エンヤ」「ヨイサ、ヨイサ」
の掛け声に乗って14台の豪華絢爛
（ごうかけんらん）な曳山が勇壮に
旧城下町を巡行する祭りである。
曳山は、それぞれ形が異なり、獅子や兜
（かぶと）亀や鯛（たい）などさまざまな
姿で楽しませてくれる.世界最大級の乾漆造
（かんしつづくり）の姿をお披露目して
くれる一級の芸術品が町を練り歩く姿を
今年も楽しみにしている。

アクロス福岡国際音楽セミナー２０２４がスタート！
7/23～スタートした国際音楽セミナー
審査を終え選ばれた、Piano８名、ヴァイオリン１１名　
Opera 7名と世界へ飛び出す音楽家への国際音楽セミナー
が開催。
マスタークラス受講生のレパートリーも発表され練習室で
10:00～１時間ごとに練習室でピアノコースが始まりました。
聴講希望者は「無料」で参加することができますが、
録音録画撮影は禁止。
参加を希望される方はアクロス福岡の地下への階段途中に
ある事務局で見学の申し込みをして練習室で静かに
音楽を楽しんで下さい。
ACROS Fukuoka International Music Seminar 2024 has started!
The international music seminar started on July 23rd.
After screening, 8 pianists, 11 violinists, and 7 opera singers
were selected to take part in the international music seminar,
which will be held for musicians who will go out into the world.
The repertoires of the master class students were also announced,
and the piano course began in the practice room every hour from 10:00.
Audience members can attend for free, but recording and
filming are prohibited.
If you would like to participate, please apply for a tour
at the office located halfway up the stairs to the basement
of ACROS Fukuoka and enjoy quiet music in the practice room.

私の好きな「あかり絵作家」の入江千春さんが
今年２回目のあかり絵の世界をアクロス福岡で
開催している。
四季折々のあかり絵の中で遊ぶ子供たちの愛らしい
表情と博多弁で元気一杯、楽しまさせてくれる。
彼女の手作りの灯りのオブジェは、昔懐かしい
子供時代にタイムトリップして、ほっこりした
気分になる。
今回の作品は、春から夏の博多の子供たちがテーマで
懐かしい時代の灯り/思い出をを味合わせていただいた。

3/19韓国観光説明会・商談会&日韓観光の夕べに参加
“韓国訪問の年”の広報を兼ねた説明会・商談会及び
晩餐会に１年ぶりに出席。
韓国観光公社主催の日韓交流拡大&韓国の魅力を紹介
する為、韓国より広報団が来日し「商談会」＆
「韓国観光の夕べ」の2部構成で3/19(火)15:00 ～
ホテル日航福岡で開催されました。
昼の部では、「韓国訪問の年」の広報をかけた説明会と
韓国旅行関連業界(自治体,韓国旅行業界、イベント会社等)に
よる商談会が開催され、久しぶりに懐かしい方々との
意見交換や相談ができました。
コロナが終息して福岡では、一番、韓国のお客様の声が
聞かれるようになりましたが、日本からの韓国への
渡航者数は、まだコロナ前の様には伸びていません。
亦、18時から「韓国観光の夕べ」に参加。約150名程の
お客様が参加され、楽しいひと時を過ごさせて
いただきました。
今後の韓国ツアー企画で、商談会やセミナーを通じて
新規観光箇所や人気のグルメなどの新情報も今後の
企画で活用させていただきます。

Hotel Nikko Fukuoka.
In the afternoon session, a briefing session on the

opinions and consult with nostalgic people.

Admire the fragrant season of plum blossoms.
Early March is the best time to see plum blossoms, so I took
a walk around Dazaifu（A shrine dedicated to the god of
learning & a temple in charge of the administration of Kyushu）.
The approach from the station is lined with foreign tourists
wearing rental kimonos and
It is overflowing with tourists from outside the prefecture,
as well as students and graduates.
The coronavirus is a thing of the past, and tourists are rarely wearing masks.
Almost no masks were worn.
Pass the approach and turn at a 90 degree right angle from
the Ushigami（God of Cows）.
Pass through the Dazaifu Gate and pass the Big Fountain
and Taikobashi Bridge （A bridge in the shape of a drum）
and it will be right in front of you.
There is a large tower gate that leads to the main shrine.
There are approximately 6,000 white and red plum trees
in Dazaifu's gardens, making it one of Japan's most famous
plum blossom viewing spots.
The plum tree on the right side of the main shrine is
a sacred tree, and the precincts are filled with a pleasant
scent of plum blossoms.
After praying, enjoy the plum orchard in Dazaifu.
Lord Michizane loved plums throughout his life,
Plums also appear in the first song he composed when
he was five years old.

八女の茶畑探訪「八女中央大茶園」展望台へ
はるか一面に広がる緑の茶畑。ゆるやかな傾斜の
丘陵地に広がる大茶園（70ha）は、福岡を代表する
ブランド茶・八女茶の一大生産地。
1969年から1973年にかけて「県営パイロット事業」と
して103haの山林を開発して作られた茶畑で、
その雄大な景色は広く知られるようになりました。
頂上に設けられた展望所から見る景色は、まるで
緑のじゅうたんを敷き詰めたような美しさ！　
茶摘みが行われる4月～5月中旬頃がベストシーズンで、
360度見渡す限りの茶畑は圧巻です。
晴れた日には有明海や島原半島を一望。
新茶の季節には新茶の試飲会＆販売が行われます。
景色だけではなく新鮮なお茶の香りとうまみも
堪能してください。
展望所のカフェスペースで八女茶を楽しみながら
茶畑を眺め最高のひと時です。
ゆっくり山頂からの茶畑を眺めて、帰路は、八女の
観光物産館でお土産を購入し、一路福岡へ。
ロマンあふれる「八女の旅」グルメも、自然も
古墳のロマンも満足な秋の1日でした。

The best season is from April to mid-May when tea
is picked, and the 360-degree view of the tea fields
is spectacular.
On a clear day, you can see the Ariake Sea and
the Shimabara Peninsula.
During the fresh tea season, fresh tea tasting events
and
sales are held. Enjoy not only the scenery but also
the aroma and taste of fresh tea. Enjoy a cup of
Yame tea at the cafe space at the observation deck
while looking out at the tea fields.
After taking a leisurely look at the tea plantations from
the top of the mountain, on the way back, we bought
some souvenirs at the Yame Tourist and
Local Products Center,
and then headed straight to Fukuoka.
It was a romantic autumn day filled with the romance of
Yame's gourmet food, nature, and ancient tombs.
