Eaglets Rock, Scissors SIGHT WORDS!
Eaglets students are having fun learning their sight words. One of their favorite games is playing a time bomb game of Rock, Paper, Scissors using Sight Words. If they win they can move forward and say each word aloud. Good job Eagles

子どもバージョンのプレゼンテーション「Show and Tell」

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少以上の子ども達は毎月1回子どもバージョンのプレゼンテーション、Show and Tellを行います。好きな動物についてだったり、私の家族についてだったり、子ども達の身近なテーマに沿って自分の考えを発表します。初めはお友達の前に立って発表するのが恥ずかしかったり、緊張することもありますが、回を重ねる毎に先生のサポートやお友達の応援があり、大きな声でクラスの前で堂々と発表することができるようになります。

などは発表後はQ and Aでお友達からの質問に答えることもできます。

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの今月のテーマは動物についてです。この日は、子供たちは好きな動物になりきって登園しました。お友達同士、自分の動物の衣装を春見せ合い、レッスンではファッションショーを行いました。
This month is all about animals so students were excited to come to school in their favorite animal outfit. We enjoyed showing each other our animal outfits and enjoyed a fashion show together.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少前Ducklingsクラスの体育の様子です。子ども達は体を動かすのが大好き！走ったり、ロープを使って歩いたり、ボールパスの練習をしたりします。GO! GO! Ducklings!!!

夏はまだ終わってない！Hatchlings Pool Play

9月に入りましたがまだ暑い日が続きますね。覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの1〜2歳児Hatchlingsクラスではプール遊びを楽しみました！このクラスで初めてクラスの先生やお友達と一緒にプールに入ることができましたね。来年も楽しみにしていてください。Summer is officially over but it's still hot! Hatchlings enjoyed playing in the pool during the hot summer months. It was their first time splashing in the pool together with their teachers and they had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to do it again next year in Ducklings.

サイエンス「ウーブレック(魔法の泥)を作ったよ！」Parrots made Oobleck

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年中Parrotsクラスではサイエンスの実験を行いました。皆さんウーブレックを知っていますか？ウーブレックとはコーンスターチと水を混ぜたものに色を付けた液体なのに固体にもなれる不思議な物体です。 子ども達は実際にウーブレックを手で触り、 “Is it liquid or solid?” (これは液体かな？固体かな？)の質問に自分の感じたように答えていました。
What a fun science lesson. Oobleck is a gooey mixture of cornstarch and water. Is it a liquid or a solid? Parrots students at Kakuozan International Preschool enjoyed learning, touching and experiment with this goo.

The Hummingbirds class are learning about animals this month. They touched feathers and talked about different birds. Using pieces of felt and feathers, they dipped them into trays of paint and created their own designs. Children also decorated and painted a large bird and hung their pictures around the classroom. It was a fun and colorful project!

The theme this month is "All About Amazing Animals.” The Ducklings children had a fun activity painting stripes and sponging spots onto large sheets on paper. What kind of animal were they painting? After they finished this fun, group activity, they all took a look. It was a zebra and a giraffe! Wow!
