The American University of Madaba successfully conducted its first Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for Pharmacy students, marking an important milestone in advancing clinical education and professional training.
The exam assessed students’ clinical competencies, communication skills, medication dispensing practices, and therapeutic decision-making in simulated healthcare settings, reinforcing AUM’s commitment to preparing highly qualified pharmacists for the local and regional workforce.

The Department of Biology & Biotechnology at the American University of Madaba, in collaboration with PAWPA and the Generation Guardians Initiative, hosted a special event to highlight the global and urgent issue of antibiotic resistance.
The event focused on raising awareness about the dangers of antimicrobial resistance, the importance of proper hygiene practices, and strategies to support public health and national efforts against this growing threat. It provided students and university staff with valuable knowledge and practical insights, reinforcing the role of education and research in combating antibiotic resistance and promoting a healthier society.

The program featured lectures and insights from Dr. Maysam Akroush, Colonel Dr. Alia Khlaifat, Dr. Jude Jarrah, and Dr. Salam Momani.
This initiative reflects the American University of Madaba’s commitment to supporting scientific and student activities and raising awareness of priority health challenges locally and globally.

Representing the American University of Madaba, student Sarah Haider participated in the launch of the 20th season of Souk Jara, which was announced during a well-attended press conference attended by officials, media representatives, cultural figures, and members of the public.
During the event, Sarah presented her art exhibition on coexistence, first launched during Jordan’s Independence Day celebrations at AUM. The exhibition drew strong interest from visitors and reflected the values of solidarity, dialogue, unity, and cultural understanding.
Sarah expressed her gratitude for the support she received from the American University of Madaba, highlighting the university’s role in nurturing her artistic talent and helping transform her project into a traveling exhibition that promotes civic engagement, aesthetic growth and intercultural dialogue.

The AUM Eid Al-Adha Gathering was a heartwarming celebration, bringing together AUM staff to share moments of joy, appreciation, and togetherness. The event reflected the spirit of gratitude, unity, and the special bond we honor on these meaningful occasions.

Join us for the Antibiotic Resistance Scientific Day, organized by the Biology and Biotechnology Department at the American University of Madaba, in collaboration with PAWPA, Generation Guardians, and The Trinity Challenge. This engaging event highlights one of the most pressing challenges in modern healthcare—antibiotic resistance—and brings together experts and professionals to raise awareness and discuss solutions.

Featuring distinguished speakers from the Jordan Center for Disease Control, King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), and Royal Medical Services (RMS), the event will explore the growing impact of antibiotic resistance, the risks it poses to global health, and the importance of responsible antibiotic use in protecting future generations.

We look forward to welcoming students, faculty members, healthcare professionals, and everyone interested in public health, scientific research, and medical advancement.

Strengthening international partnerships and opening new doors for academic collaboration, the American University of Madaba proudly took part in the Erasmus+ Cooperation Seminar for Austrian and Jordanian Higher Education Institutions, held in Vienna and represented by Dr. Doa Jarrar from the Human Resources Management Department at the Faculty of Business.

Organised jointly by the Austrian agency OeAD-GmbH – Agentur für Bildung und Internationalisierung and the National Erasmus+ Office – Jordan, the seminar brought together leading representatives from Jordanian and Austrian universities to exchange ideas, foster meaningful partnerships, and explore new opportunities for academic mobility and cooperation through Erasmus+. The programme also featured visits to the United Nations premises in Vienna and the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, enriching discussions on global education, innovation, and international engagement.

The event concluded with a reception hosted by H.E. Mohammed Hindawi, Jordanian Ambassador to Austria, reflecting the strong and growing relationship between Jordan and Austria in advancing education, research, and international collaboration.
