*Sahih Muslim* was compiled by Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Naysaburi رحمه الله.

👤 **About the author**

Imam Abu al-Husayn Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Naysaburi رحمه الله was one of the greatest hadith scholars of the third Islamic century.

He travelled extensively in search of knowledge and studied with leading scholars in the major centres of Islamic learning. He became renowned for his expertise in hadith narrators, chains of transmission, and hidden defects in narrations.

His *Sahih* remains one of the principal references for scholars and students of Prophetic tradition throughout the Muslim world.
