SSTC Student Council is offering a scholarship to the hard working teachers in training. We are happy to announce our first of hopefully many to come that will aid in subsidizing your tuition this semester. The main funds that will be assisting us in the venture is coming from the Student Council tuck shop. So we are asking everyone to support us whilst we do are utmost best to support you.
Application forms have been sent to group leaders
Criteria for Scholarship:
• Must have a G.P.A of at least 3.3
• Must be actively involved in at least one extra-curricular activity within the Sam Sharpe Teachers’ college {clubs/associations}.
• Priority will be given to those in need
• Must be a year 2, 3 or 4 student inclusive of C.M.I {year one students do not currently a G.P.A. at this time hence their exemption}
• Evening school students are exempt from this award unless they can be confirmed to be a part of an internal extra-curricular activity. All executive Council members are exempt from this award.
Please note that applications close on the 15 of February 2017. Application forms can be submitted to any executive member or the Council Office. All class leaders are in possession of the application form.

Good afternoon, please be reminded that all students (Evening College, Day School, CMI and Pre-College) are invited to the End of Semester Dinner this evening commencing at 6 p.m. Please be clad in formal attire befitting the occasion. As professionals in training we need not remind you to not to liberal in the art of overexposure of ones anatomy. Come and have a great time, finally be reminded that non-students are permitted to be a part of this function. Exceptions to this rule may include specially invited guests by the schools administration and or such as board members, dignitaries, etc.

Yes it is that time again, 'burning the midnight oil', praying like crazy, secluding yourself like a bear preparing for an envenomed winter. Exams are indeed here!! The student Council wishes you all the best in this time and encourages you to push through this time of trial so that you may smile from ear to ear come March.
