Cyclospora cases are increasing across the U.S.

Cyclospora is a foodborne parasite that is usually spread through contaminated food or water, not through direct person-to-person contact.

Common symptoms include;

📍Frequent watery diarrhea
📍Stomach cramps
📍Fatigue
📍Weight loss
📍Loss of appetite
📍Nausea

To our J-1 community: Practice good food hygiene, wash your hands regularly, rinse fruits and vegetables thoroughly, drink safe water, and be mindful of where your food comes from.

If you experience persistent diarrhea or any of these symptoms, contact a healthcare provider as soon as possible.
