Most people have told you “she’s a special one, make sure you take care of her” and I smile to myself. I smile because they have no idea the gift that you are. They have no idea of your power and your character, your drive and your heart. They don’t get to see you being an amazing father or hear you guiding me with that amazing intellect of yours.
You make me not only see where I can be a better person but you inspire me to achieve it.

I’m no walk in the park and one thing I’ve done with your love is test it. Most people see only my light, but you also get my darkness. You get my fears and my frustrations. You get my silence and my shortcomings. You are privy to the inner workings of pieces of me that I don’t even want to show myself…. And you still repeatedly choose me.

You are an amazing human being baby and it’s an honour to be the one selected to do this lifetime by your side.

Thank you for every birthday text, every DM, every What’s App. Thank you for every birthday call, every visit, every gift. And thank you for coming to celebrate with me. To say I am grateful is an absolute understatement. If I don’t make one more connection in life I’ll be absolutely fine because I have each one of you.
