ECLOF Jamaica Ltd provides poor and marginalized Jamaicans with an alternative lending institution with the objective of helping its clients to exercise the right to live their lives with greater human dignity. in our formative years most loans transacted were for church capacity building. however, since 2007 we became more involved in micro-finance lending to groups of entrepreneurs. Significant

changes were made to the lending methodology and lending targets in 2010. A new educational loan product was introduced on a small scale since 2011 and has performed exceptionally well. In 2013 ECLOF operated an efficient institutional loan portfolio that meets the capacity development needs of Churches; Church based schools and other educational institutions. Our portfolio includes individual loans, institutional loans and group loans. Typical clients are micro entrepreneurs engaged in; small production entities, provision of services, trade activities and persons involved in small home improvement projects. We also provide funding for parents and students who cannot otherwise afford the tuition fees necessary to achieve educational development aimed at poverty alleviation.
