Driving theory test to include CPR first aid questions Experts hope to boost cardiac arrest survival rates, with 2.4 million people sitting the test each year.

We are joining a campaign by Jersey businesses that is building a network of life-saving devices all across the Island.

We are very pleased to be partnering with the Jersey Heart Support Group to install a defibrillator outside our offices at St Paul's Gate in St Helier and we're grateful to Janet Davison of SOL First Aid Training Services for providing defibrillator training to our staff.

There are now more than 80 distinctive green and yellow cabinets containing Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) around Jersey, including outside parish halls, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, the Liberation Station and opposite the public entrance to the States Chamber.

Global managing partner Tim Pearce said: "We are pleased to get behind this excellent initiative that the Jersey Heart Support Group have led so successfully across the Island. Speed of access to the right equipment can be the difference between life and death, and we are glad to have joined the network of devices around Jersey."

If anyone is worried that their First Aid certificate is coming up for renewal, the Health and Safety Executive have agreed to allow a 3 month extension due to the current situation.

To all my clients, I understand things are difficult at the moment and fully understand if courses need to be cancelled. If this is the case, please drop me an email to let me know and hopefully, we can reschedule when we come out the other side of this!
