Another NJFMC Festival in the books and SUPERIOR RATINGS FOR 2024!!!!!!! Congratulations to my students!!!!!!!

I just received exciting news that my flute student made it into New Jersey Youth Symphony!!!! I couldn’t be more thrilled for him!

Another NJFMC in the books, and another SUPERIOR RATING for a student!!! He has officially received his GOLD CUP!!!

I’d like to wish all of my students and their families a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year! May 2023 bring you health, happiness, and music that continues to fill your home, heart, and soul.

Thank you all for continuing to support your child in their music education and allowing me to be that pathway that fulfills their hobby and/or passion. I am so lucky to be able to work with the most incredible students, and I cannot wait to see what 2023 brings!

Cannot wait for the ! App up and running, and sessions added to my calendar! 🥰 cannot wait for another fabulous PD!

Some timeline of events worth sharing from a student who doubles on flute and viola:

August: 3 weeks before school starts, he gets his viola.
Lesson 1: figuring out all the strings, and working on finger patterns and first 3 notes on every string.
Lesson 2: bowing. Everything he learned from the previous week, he learns on the bow.
Lesson 3: reading actual music in alto clef. He plays through Cripple Creek.

September - October: tells me that he wants to audition for Chamber Orchestra. We’re practicing the C scale which has different finger patterns, and going through a solo piece that has G sharps, high B flats…. he’s learning all the accidentals.

October 31st was the audition.

On November 8th, I hear from his mom that HE MADE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA!!!!!!!!!!

I’m so so excited for my student!!!!! I cannot wait to start working with him on his new music!

I created a Google Classroom for my private studio for the 2022-2023 school year. Just got word that one of my students who I have been working with on violin since he was in 1st grade (currently in 5th!)

Was just accepted to participate in the NJ Youth Symphony Orchestra!!!!!! I am so incredibly proud and excited for him!!! He worked SUPER hard getting the scales and pieces prepared. He deserves this so much!!
