Opening tomorrow at Hauser & Wirth 22nd Street, our first exhibition devoted to Günther Förg since announcing representation of the artist’s estate in June 2018. Featured works range from wall drawings to conceptual photography, sculpture and paintings, spanning his multidisciplinary career. Throughout his life, Förg tirelessly engaged the intellectual context in which the 20th century evolved, creating deft and witty responses to Minimalism, figuration, formal abstraction, Expressionism, among others. Featured works range from wall drawings to conceptual photography, sculpture and paintings, spanning his multidisciplinary career.
