All SEED partners gathered for the last transnational project meeting in Maribor at Srednja ekonomska šola in gimnazija Maribor on Friday 21st April

The meeting provided an opportunity to check on the latest activities to be concluded and to further strengthen the partnership and bonds created in these two years of intensive work.

The SEED Handbook for innovative work-based learning experiences will be published in the coming months. It will be accessible for everyone on the project portal: www.seedforfuture.eu

On Thursday, 20 April, the Slovenian SEED Multiplier Event was celebrated at Srednja ekonomska šola in gimnazija Maribor.

Thanks to the school and Fundacija Prizma / Foundation Prizma, it was possible to learn about the results of Slovenian students' project challenges with the companies Rejzefiber, Henkel and El Pro Lepenik.

It was also an opportunity to present the international project carried out in cooperation with students from IIS Vittorio Veneto "Città della Vittoria" and the company Metalmont entitled 'Give metal a second chance' on the reuse of production waste material.

Within the project, the 'challenge', i.e. a precise challenge identified by the company, becomes the link between the worlds of work and school, which sometimes struggle to meet and intercept each other's needs. A specific methodology guides the students and the company in carrying out the work-based paths, presenting itself as a sort of free 'resource pack', adaptable to the needs of the users.

On Monday, 27 February at Palazzo Giacomelli in Treviso, from 9.30 to 13.00, Fondazione Università Ca' Foscari presents the outcomes of Erasmus+ SEED project (School/Enterprise Experiences go Digital).
Through the project the partnershipd created a collaborative platform, flexible and adaptable to the needs of users, to foster work-based initiatives at local and international level.

Ci sono ancora posti disponibili per l'evento di presentazione del progetto Erasmus+ SEED di lunedì 27 febbraio a Treviso presso Palazzo Giacomelli dalle 9.30 alle 13.00.

SEED è dedicato alla generazione di progetti alternativi ai tradizionali percorsi per le competenze trasversali e l'orientamento (PCTO o alternanza scuola-lavoro).

Al centro dell'offerta una piattaforma che facilita il lavoro di gruppo tra studenti impegnati nella risoluzione di sfide aziendali reali e concrete.

L'evento è organizzato da Fondazione Università Ca' Foscari in collaborazione con Alterevo e Confindustria Veneto Est

On September 3rd our Italian partners presented the SEED project at the School Innovation Festival in Valdobbiadene, Italy.
Our representatives were Adriano Botteon -secondary school teacher at - and Amerigo Zanetti - project manager at Alterevo.

Welcome to the ‘evaluate’ phase of your journey on the SEED platform.

You may have created the first prototype of your proposed solution, but your work is not over yet: it is now time to collect feedback from the people you have developed this solution for, let them evaluate your work and do your own evaluation of the output you’ve created and what you have learned along the way. Collecting external feedback is important to assess whether your solution achieved its intended goals, and gather ideas about how it could be improved further.

There are different ways to collect feedback: you might design a questionnaire for your target audience, or conduct a few interviews and gather their reactions. Whatever method you’ll be choosing, please make sure to collect feedback shortly after your presentation and to discuss the feedback you’ve collected as a group.

Please do not forget to check out the guidelines available on the platform, which include details about different ways through which you can collect feedback, as well as the resources you’ll need to do so. Please remember to mark different activities as ‘completed’ when you’ve finished your work, and to upload the results.

Welcome to the ‘implement’ phase of your journey on the SEED platform.

This stage is all about refining the solution you've identified during the previous stage and creating a representation of this solution for the people it has been designed for. These people are your target audience, and you should always keep in mind what you've learned about them in the previous stages when creating your unique solution. During this stage, you'll try out different methods and techniques to realize the first prototype of your proposed solution, be it physical or conceptual.

Implement includes three steps: refinement of the chosen idea, creation of a concept prototype, and presentation of your concept prototype to the people it has been designed for. This stage is all about bringing your idea to life: focus on converging on one solution and refine the concept as much as possible, but keep it simple enough to be able to create a working prototype. Your prototype can be a physical representation of your solution, a digital product, or even just a sketch. The best prototype depends on the specific solution you are working for.

On the platform, you’ll find detailed guidelines about the creativity-based methods that can best guide you throughout your implementation journey. For example, you can use the 6 thinking hats or the productive thinking model to discuss the details of your solution and how they can be included in your prototype. You can then be inspired and gather ideas for your first concept prototype by creating a mood board, a sketch, or a storyline of how users will interact with your solution. You can use drawings, maps, or physical and digital representations of your solution to help your audience understand how it works. Finally, you can present your solution to them by creating a final pitch.

As for the previous stages, the guidelines available on the platform include details about suggested activities, time, and resources needed. You'll be able to mark different activities as 'completed' when you've finished your work and upload the results.

Welcome to the 'ideate' phase of your journey on the SEED platform!

At this stage of your journey, you'll learn how to brainstorm possible solutions to the project challenge you have been presented with. You will start from the analysis of the challenge you have completed in the previous stage, learn different brainstorming techniques, and propose possible solutions.

At the end of this stage, you will have many different solutions, which you will then narrow down to the one solution that you’ll move forward to the next stage. This stage is all about new ideas: focus on producing as many different answers or routes forward to your challenge as possible. By doing so, you'll learn how to engage in divergent thinking and facilitate innovation. All ideas are useful at this point, and all voices should be heard.

We suggest you organize your time in sprints. During each sprint, you’ll try out and learn about different techniques and methods to generate, evaluate, and choose ideas.

For example, you might want to try out the ‘635 brainwriting method’ or the ‘4X4X4 idea generation method’ to boost your creativity and produce ideas about possible solutions to the challenge you’re working on. Or you might want to challenge yourself to step into the shoes of a potential user of your proposed solutions by creating a ‘user persona.’ You might then discuss, assess, and evaluate the pros and cons of different ideas using creative methods such as the ‘six thinking hats,’ and learn how to create a plan to realize the solution you’ve imagined.

On the platform, you’ll find guidelines about how to use different creative methods, including the equipment needed as well as the suggested time and activities. You’ll be able to mark different activities as 'completed' when you've finished your work and upload the results.
