六點半棍 6 1/2 Point Pole
To get the most out of your 6 1/2 Point Pole training, you must know the relationship between the Pole and the Mind/Body.
It is not blindly copying the form, nor muscling the Pole.
The idea is to use the Pole to activate and condition the Iron Wires in the Body. You must also understand where the Yin and Yang lies, the Mind and Body, the stabilities and movement, the heavy and light, the robust and fine motor control.
Once practiced enough the attributes becomes instinctive. When dealing with the opponent, the Mind, Body, Power, Iron Wires, Motor Skills work and expression in unison to produce maximum effectiveness.
Due to the lack of space, I am using a short sledge hammer instead of the long Pole. Of course, the long Pole works better for Mind projection and fine motor control, but one needs to adapt and train with whatever available.
