Our activities include focus group sessions, training for students, designing of learning materials, a "Masterclass Academy" (where teachers and students collaborate to develop creative ideas), and even B2S events (face-to-face meetings with creative industry experts and sustainable businesses). 🎨

📖 After 2 years of work, what have we learned about sustainability in the creative industries?

As Artforward comes to its natural conclusion, we decided that, to tie things up, the final word belongs to our students.

Through drawings, notes, reflections, and personal quotes collected during the Green Academy in Copenhagen, they told us what remained after this journey. Not theoretical definitions learned from a textbook or explanations provided by an expert, but the understanding they shaped through direct experience, dialogue, and encounters with peers, mentors, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs.

Our final project output, The , has been built entirely around the students' own voices.
Reading their diaries, seven recurring themes naturally emerged:

♻️ Circularity: finding always new reasons for waste not to become waste
🧱 Resources: acknowledging that materials are active participants in the creative process
🛠️ Process: making mistakes, simplifying, collaborating, moving beyond the ego, embracing uncertainty as drivers of innovation
✨Authenticity: recognizing that when art carries the signs of time, use, and material truth, it becomes more deeply connected to reality
🏙️ Community & Space: an object needs to be loved by the society that finds a purpose for it
🤝 Responsibility: artists have the duty to consider the potential consequences of their work
🎨 Designing the Future: communication, technical expertise, and a sense of responsibility as essential qualities for tomorrow's creative professionals.

This is a great achievement of the project: witnessing young artists, designers and architects move from receiving knowledge to creating it, transforming observations into critical thinking and personal visions for the future.

Thank you to all the students who shared their thoughts, to Tap'Art bordeaux and Liceo Artistico Chierici 's teachers who accompanied them throughout this journey, and to every company that opened their doors and inspired them.

This booklet is, above all, yours. 💚

After two years of development, all the outcomes of the Erasmus+ Artforward project are finally ready to be shared across Europe!

In Denmark, Danitacom has been invited as the guest speaker at the monthly networking event Green Drinks Copenhagen, where sustainability enthusiasts and professionals from across the sector come together to exchange ideas and keep the conversation alive.

There, we presented the entire Artforward journey, from the initial phase of exploring the sustainability challenges faced by the creative industries to the wide range of activities we developed together with our project partners Liceo Artistico Chierici, Tap'Art bordeaux, and Kevader Cera.

From the Learning modules to the Green Academy and Business-to-Students events, we illustrated the efforts made to guide students and teachers towards innovative learning approaches. Approaches that place students at the centre, give them the freedom to experiment, try, fail, and try again, and prepare them to step into the labour market ready to apply their skills and ideas.

Veronica and Isabella, members of Artforward's team, framed the presentation around one central question:

🌱 What kind of designers, artists and architects does the future need?

And they answered by giving the floor to the art students themselves, through their drawings and reflections.

Perhaps there is not just one single formula, yet, after this journey, one message emerged clearly. According to these young and bright minds, the future belongs to creative professionals who see sustainability as a circle built on 3 interconnected dimensions: materials 🧱, people 👥, and values 🌼. At the center of it, art 🎨 stands strong, with its power to shape culture and spread new visions.

Stay tuned for more insights!

Last meeting with all the partners!
It was a blast!
Two days of knowledge sharing, meeting with students, insights into innovative educational methods, and, of course, brainstorming to plan and develop "The Booklet", the last output before the end of the project.

🌱 Another milestone of our Artforward project has been achieved!

This month, together with Tap'Art bordeaux and Liceo Artistico Chierici, we created a meaningful connection between high school students and companies from the creative industries in Denmark, France, and Italy.

KIRT x THOMSEN, Mimilo , Cea Capsule, One Of One Studio, MAC Architecture, Me Mori - Den Lille Guldsmedje, Crisden, and Laurent Tardieu from Montagne Noire shared their perspectives on the industry, their approaches to sustainability, and valuable insights on how to start a career in their respective fields, such as fashion, jewelry, design, and architecture.

💡 What the students truly gained from this experience was more than knowledge: inspiration, encouragement, and a sense of optimism.
They had the opportunity to exchange ideas, explore the professional journeys of the “mentors,” and better understand what it means to work in the creative sector today, facing new challenges like AI, digitalization, and green transition.

Gaining insight into the journeys of industry experts, how they achieved their goals and navigated challenges along the way, is an invaluable lesson for young professionals eager to kick-start their careers. At the same time, exploring the creative process behind each project and discovering the vision at the core of every company helps spark new ideas, inspiration, and ambitions.

🙏 We would like to sincerely thank all the companies for their time and dedication! It was an invaluable gift to the next generation.
Together, we are contributing to shaping the future of the creative industries, where innovation goes hand in hand with environmental and social sustainability.
