🌍🔥 SIX SEVEN: TWO NUMBERS, MILLIONS OF VOICES! 🔥🌍

🎶 From a viral classroom catchphrase to a fascinating journey through literature, language, music, and digital culture!
How many times have you heard your students shouting “SIX SEVEN!”, accompanied by that unmistakable hand gesture? 🙌😄
After countless classroom interruptions, I decided to turn my frustration into curiosity!
🔎 How can two seemingly meaningless numbers become a global phenomenon
My research took me on an unexpected journey from Chaucer and Shakespeare to the traditional British idiom “at sixes and sevens”, and finally to rapper Skrilla, TikTok and today's viral trend!
💡 But why stop at research when we can turn curiosity into collaborative learning?

Hey teachers! Happy World Teachers Day today! 👩‍🏫 ‍👨‍🏫

Teachers are the backbone of education. We all remember teachers who inspired us to give the very best of ourselves, teaching us the values we need to become successful and compassionate citizens.

More than 3 in 4 teachers say they would choose the profession again. However, challenges remain: an ageing workforce, heavy administrative workload and the need for more support with digital tools and AI.

Although the organisation of education and training systems and the content of teaching are a matter for the Member States, the EU actively supports them in many ways.

There is , eTwinning, the European School Education Platform, the EU guidelines on digital education and more.

With the European Innovative Teaching Award, we celebrate teachers who are making a real difference in the future of education.

This is just the beginning: we are preparing an EU Teachers Agenda to support the profession and improve working conditions.

As moderator of the Multilingualism eTwinning Featured Group I am very delighted by the many contributions already shared for LANGUAGE BRIDGES – One Message, Many Voices, the activity organised by the eTwinning Featured Group Multilingualism to celebrate the European Day of Languages 2026 and its motto, “Languages Unite!”

Educators have been creating cards that complete the sentence “Languages unite us when…” with a short message combining two or more languages. Each contribution reflects a personal linguistic journey and shows how languages connect people, expand our sense of community, and invite others to join the conversation.

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far. We look forward to receiving many more cards on the TwinBoard. We also invite you to explore other contributions and add a Language Echo: a word or short expression from your language in response to a fellow educator’s message.
