Men are a compilation of every experience and relationship they have ever lived through. Some experiences have bettered your man while others have battered him. The man standing before you is the result of a lifetime of surviving.

A successful marriage needs much more than, love, care, and feelings. A woman can choose to be totally submissive in a marriage, like in a patriarchal set-up where she will have a happy married life, but not guaranteed if she will be happy or not. Or she can decide on what makes her happy and choose that life. Marriage is not about the happiness of one person at the cost of other.

Ladies! I encourage you NOT to be so easily flattered by what a man has. Be flattered by his strength, courage, integrity, and character as a man. Be impressed by his ability to be honest, faithful, loving, and respectful to you. Be impressed because he can communicate and openly express his feelings. Be impressed because he’s got confidence, direction, and purpose in his life. Be impressed because he’s a quality man, NOT a fine man. Real Talk!

A man that used to beat his wife said this.

I beat my wife at any provocation, to the point that I even beat her when she was four month pregnant with my first child. Fear, guilt and shame gripped me when my wife was due and went to the hospital for delivery, she asked the nurse to bring me in the theatre, that she wants me to be there while she delivers. I got there I saw my wife went to the land of the spirit in great pain and back with a bouncing baby girl, I couldn't stop crying, because I have failed as a husband. I was so scared, my heart was filled with guilt and regrets, but I think that I have turned a new leaf.
