This year, , and msyelf, brought our ICSP Orvieto Painting Workshop to a new location, Palazzo Bisenzi, a wonderful palace in the heart of Orvieto’s main strip, with a long and fascinating history. This part of the palace was not yet renovated since it was vacated years ago, and the owners thought this may have been a problem; but I thought, “better yet, we are coming here to paint, who needs renovation?”

As lovers of culture, and eager to host their first event in their space, owners Marco de Vincentiis Resta and Antonietta Mazzei along with their son Gianpietro, turned this wing of the Palazzo into a fully insured Cultural Association. Our workshop was their fledgeling, first opportunity to reopen the doors of this jewel of a space.

We at ICSP are delighted to have a new and long lasting location for our annual workshop In Orvieto in and could have not found more gracious and supportive hosts. We would like to thank all the students who have participated, The Fondazione per il Centro Studi “Città di Orvieto” for their precious collaboration throughout the years, and for having given me the idea to connect to our new hosts. We will return next year with an even more vibrant program and even more enthusiasm.

By the way, A.C Palazzo Bisenzi lends itself to all kinds of interesting cultural synergies; so poets, curators, musicians filmmakers, photographers, yogis, intellectuals, scholars, keep this space in mind if you want to manifest your idea at Palazzo Bisenzi. Contact me if you want to know more.

ICSP SUMMER 24
Join Vincent Desiderio and Bernardo Siciliano in Orvieto, Italy, for a full immersion into art from June 24 to July 12.
Surrounded by the beauty Orvieto and Umbria have to offer, our weekly workshops give participants an opportunity to draw and paint with two artists who approach representation from very different perspectives.
Participants can choose to register for one, two or three weeks. Classes are open to all levels and are taught in English.
Studio work will be conducted with live models.

We are offering an advanced and intensive workshop, call Two Approaches To Representation in collaboration with the . Taught by ICSP founding faculty and

July 3 to July 7 and July 10 to July 14. Classes run 10 AM to 1 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. All necessary materials will be provided by the Milan Academy of Painting and included in the price. It has a limited number of participants and enrollments will be accepted while places last. The workshop is open to all intermediate and advanced level artists. 🖌

L'Accademia di Pittura di Milano propone il workshop Two Approaches To Representation, avanzato e intensivo. Il primo si svolge dal 3 al 7 luglio e l'altro dal 10 al 14 luglio (orari delle lezioni dalle 10.00 alle 13.00 e dalle 14.30 alle 17.30). Workshop Daze in the mad heat. Coming along. Everything has been happening in slow motion. But it has been happening nonetheless. Strange return after long covid hiatus. Happy and privileged to work, and to work with great friends who also happen to be talented artists and teachers.
